Scopper Gaban is a legendary pirate who served as Gol D. Roger’s left hand, making him one of the strongest characters in One Piece. He may be in his late 70s, but Gaban can defeat some of One Piece‘s strongest characters with ease. Gaban’s strength was comparable to Rayleigh’s and Roger’s, which means he likely possesses all three types of Haki and their advanced applications.

Gaban can defeat a few Yonko Commanders and several members of the Worst Generation, most of whom have Haki of their own and Devil Fruit abilities. He can also take out some Marines with relative ease, including an Admiral. Gaban is no longer in his prime, but he can still muster enough strength to take tough enemies down with his signature axes.

As a member of the Worst Generation, Killer is considered a super rookie, and he has quickly become one of the most feared swordsmen on the Grand Line. Unlike most swordsmen, Killer’s weapon of choice is a pair of spinning scythe-like blades equipped to guantlets. Killer briefly fought on par with Zoro during the Wano Arc, and defeated Basil Hawkins, another member of the Worst Generation, on his own.

Killer possesses a potent Armament Haki, and can harden his blades to the point he can now pierce Kaido’s near-indestructible body. In a normal duel, Gaban’s axes would clash evenly with Killer’s blades, but if they both go all-out, Gaban would shatter Killer’s blades with his Haki imbued axes. Gaban battled Kozuki Oden, one of the strongest swordsmen in history, years ago, and their fight ended in a draw. Killer is nowhere near Oden’s level, so he would get cut down fairly quickly.

Kid defeated Big Mom with help from Trafalgar D. Water Law, but when he faced Shanks off the shores of Elbaph, a single Haki cut him down. Gaban’s Haki has definitely weakened with age, but he can still deal a massive blow to someone like Kid. Granted, Gaban probably cannot fly to meet Kid at sea like Shanks did, but if they were both on land, Gaban could likely muster enough Haki to take Kid out the same way Shanks did.

Thanks to this power, Urouge defeated Charlotte Snack, one of Big Mom’s Sweet Commanders, meaning he can fight certain Yonko Commanders.

Burgess’ Enhanced Strength Likely Cannot Keep Up With Gaban’s Haki And Speed

Burgess is the helmsman of the Blackbeard Pirates and one of the crew’s Ten Titanic Captains. Burgess already possessed great physical strength, which could be enhanced with Armament Haki. During the Egghead Arc, it was revealed that Burgess ate the Strong-Strong Fruit, which grants him superhuman strength. He can now lift a small mountain over his head and toss it a great distance with minimal difficulty.

Burgess can bulldoze his way through a small army, but he cannot contend with strong opponents who are faster than him. Gaban should be fast enough to evade most of Burgess’ attacks. Burgess might harden parts of his body, but this defense can be shattered by swordsmen with greater Haki. Sabo broke through Burgess’ Haki with a Haki imbued fist, so Gaban’s Haki imbued axes can likely slice through Burgess’ body as though he were not even using Haki.

Shiryu’s Swordsmanship And Devil Fruit Can Be Thwarted By Gaban’s Haki And Axe Skills

Shiryu is Impel Down’s former Head Jailer. He was stripped of his title and imprisoned because he would kill prisoners in brutal ways. Shiryu joined the Blackbeard Pirates during a prison riot and became one of the Ten Titanic Captains. He is a master swordsman who can kill multiple targets in a split second with fluid and precise movements. During the Wano Arc, Shiryu got the power of the Clear-Clear Fruit, which gives him the ability to become invisible.

Shiryu uses this invisibility to stab unsuspecting opponents in the back. He critically injured Gecko Moria, a former Warlord of the Sea, and one of his attacks was strong enough to impale Vice-Admiral Garp. Given his status, Gaban likely has an advanced Observation Haki, which would allow him to sense and intercept Shiryu’s sneak attack. If he blocks the attack with one of his axes, Shiryu will be surprised for a few seconds, and Gaban can use the opening to cut him down with his second axe.

Cracker ate the Bis-Bis Fruit, which allows him to create and control biscuits which are surprisingly durable.

Cracker typically creates biscuit soldiers out of crumbs. These soldiers can fight on Cracker’s behalf and he can wear them like a suit of armor. Cracker’s biscuits can withstand blunt force damage to a certain point, but it is unclear how they fair against bladed weapons. Gaban’s advanced Haki should be strong enough to cleave a biscuit soldier in two. Cracker may be skilled with a longsword, but if Gaban uses both his axes he can either disarm Cracker or shatter his sword before delivering a finishing blow.

During the Egghead Incident, Kizaru’s power was a match for Luffy’s Gear 5 transformation.

Kizaru ate the Glint-Glint Fruit, a Logia-type Devil Fruit which gives him the ability to create, control, and transform into light. Kizaru can fire explosive lasers from his fingers and perform light-speed kicks. He can also create swords made of light. Rayleigh matched Kizaru despite being in his late 70s, so Gaban can match him too. Granted, Gaban cannot keep up with Kizaru for long, but he can still land devastating blows on Kizaru’s body with his imbued axes. If Gaban can use his legendary speed and Haki for a few seconds, he can perform a single attack that might take Kizaru’s head.
