Animal Crossing has announced a new collaboration with Sea Life aquariums for later this year.

A number of Sea Life aquariums will be hosting Animal Crossing-themed events over the next few months.

“Immerse yourself in a unique universe with Animal Crossing: New Horizons,” reads the official announcement. “Equipped with a tour guide to lead the way, guests will explore the ‘Sea Life Islands’, meet Tom Nook and residents like Aurora and Octavian, and discover incredible sea creatures. A fossil dig will reveal the ancestors of the marine life that we love today, whilst explorers will search for Gulliver, who washed up on the beaches of the island.” Animal Crossing: New Horizons merch will also be sold.

The events will kick off at Sea Life Manchester in February before visiting Birmingham, Brighton, and London. The Animal Crossing experience will then remain at Chessington World Of Adventures for the month of August. Access is included with standard admission tickets. Check out the dates below:

February 8 – March 9, Sea Life Manchester
April 12 – May 5, Sea Life Birmingham
May 24 – June 15, Sea Life Brighton
June 30 – July 27, Sea Life London
August 1 – 31, Sea Life Chessington World of Adventures

Sea Life aquariums are run by Merlin Entertainment. Last year, the company announced a deal with Minecraft that will see them invest over £85 million into the creation of two Minecraft-themed attractions, either in current theme parks or a city centre. They should appear in the UK and US in 2026 and 2027. The deal also includes themed rides, attractions, hotel rooms and shops.

In 2023, Animal Crossing announced a collab with Lego, who have since released a number of themed sets. Last month, Animal Crossing made the list of games that are best for reducing stress. Topping the list was farming life simulation game Stardew Valley with a cosy score of 9.4, while Animal Crossing: New Horizons came in second with a score of 9.2.

In other news, Nintendo fans think the long-awaited Switch 2 will be announced later today (January 16) after alleged details about the console were leaked.
