Vampire Survivors also thanked players for supporting the game since its launch in 2022.
Throughout 2024, Vampire Survivors has released several updates, including large and small additions to the game, and a long-awaited release on PS4 and PS5. Among the game’s largest 2024 updates were two crossover expansions in cooperation with Konami. In the summer, Vampire Survivors launched its Operation Guns DLC, a crossover with the Contra series that brought a new stage, several playable characters, and plenty of firearms for players to use. On Halloween, Vampire Survivors released the Ode to Castlevania expansion, which was praised as one of the top DLCs of 2024 for its music, character roster, and attention to detail.

With 2025 underway, Poncle gave Vampire Survivors players an update on where things stood with its ongoing Chaos Roadmap. In a post on the Vampire Survivors Steam page, Poncle stated that additional development time for quality assurance will be necessary due to the number of platforms Vampire Survivors is currently available on. Poncle added that the developers would instead increase the content available in each update of the Chaos Roadmap, though releases would be more sporadic compared to 2024. Three different update cycles, focused on stage recycling, pickups, and the Darkanas, were the main ones that Poncle remained focused on. While Vampire Survivors will not stop making paid DLC or expansions, Poncle said the team would dial back on releasing anything the size of Ode to Castlevania due to the challenges involved, but would still like to make at least one more original expansion.
