A Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 player has taken a less serious approach to multiplayer by employing a hilarious salamander tactic and crawling around for an entire game of Domination. While most Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 players take multiplayer matches incredibly seriously, this player doesn’t appear to be concerned about their kill-to-death ratio or even getting the win as they fully commit themselves to this hilarious gimmick.
At launch, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 was a massive success for publisher Activision and developer Treyarch. However, in recent weeks, Call of Duty‘s player base has taken a drastic decline on Steam. While there’s no way to know if the same situation is occurring on other platforms such as PlayStation and Xbox, the 50% drop in players is speculated to be largely down to the rampant number of cheaters in Black Ops 6 and Warzone Ranked Play. Activision has recently outlined many ways it intends to improve the Call of Duty experience for its next season, but there’s no denying that a lot of work needs to be done.

Black Ops 6 Uses Hilarious ‘Salamander’ Tactic During Multiplayer Match
While many players are focused solely on grinding multiplayer matches for all of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6‘s lucrative mastery camos, one player has decided to take things a little less seriously. In a new post on Reddit, user Dirtyhandscleanlivin showed a short but hilarious clip of an encounter they had during a game of Domination. The user explained how they played with a person named “Salamander” who was crawling for the entire match. They said that they were on the map Protocol when they questioned why an enemy was “going prone in the weirdest spots.” They then looked at the scoreboard and realized the individual’s name was Salamander “and it clicked.”
Fellow Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 players praised the dedication, with user PhillyLee3434 saying it is “pure gold,” while Away-Assistant5987 said it made them laugh “way too much.” The original poster even noted that the gimmick made them laugh so much that they had to message them privately on PlayStation 5 to let them know how hilarious it was. Although the Call of Duty series is an arcade shooter, many players treat it as a realistic military shooter, so it’s certainly refreshing to see somebody take things less seriously and actually have a little bit of fun.
Call of Duty‘s player count might be declining, but there’s still plenty of new content and improvements coming with Season 2 on January 28. While official details on the new content coming to Black Ops 6 and Warzone are still sparse, it has been revealed that multiplayer fans will be treated to new maps, modes, and even the return of an “iconic” SMG. As for Warzone fans, Activision recently revealed in a lengthy blog post that the Battle Royale title would be receiving less content than originally anticipated due to the ongoing issues with the game. The studio has said it now intends to prioritize improvements and fixes throughout the course of Season 2, which means less in terms of content.
Forced to go rogue. Hunted from within. This is Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
Developed by Treyarch and Raven, Black Ops 6 is a spy action thriller set in the early 90s, a period of transition and upheaval in global politics, characterized by the end of the Cold War and the rise of the United States as a single superpower. With a mind-bending narrative, and unbound by the rules of engagement, this is signature Black Ops.
The Black Ops 6 Campaign provides dynamic moment-to-moment gameplay that includes a variety of play spaces with blockbuster set pieces and action-packed moments, high-stakes heists, and cloak-and-dagger spy activity.
In a best-in-class Multiplayer experience, players will test their skills across 16 new maps at launch, including 12 core 6v6 maps and 4 Strike maps that can be played 2v2 or 6v6.
Black Ops 6 also marks the epic return of Round-Based Zombies, the fan-favorite mode where players will take down hordes of the undead in two brand-new maps at launch. Post-launch, players can look forward to even more exciting maps and groundbreaking experiences dropping into both Multiplayer and Zombies.
