The Getaway Show, a new event dedicated to the caravan, motorhome, and outdoor leisure sectors, is set to debut in Scotland later this year. 

Scheduled for October 3-5, 2025, at Aberdeen’s P&J Live, the show will provide industry professionals with an opportunity to connect with manufacturers, suppliers, and consumers as the latest models and products enter the market.

Positioned as Scotland’s first major exhibition of the 2026 model lineup, the event is expected to attract a mix of businesses and enthusiasts looking for insights into emerging trends. 

According to a press release, it will feature a variety of touring vehicles, self-build campervan solutions, and outdoor equipment, aligning with the growing interest in off-grid travel and weekend getaways.

“The outdoor leisure industry is one we are very proud of up here in Aberdeenshire, with our region famed for its rugged beauty from shore to summit,” said Rob Wicks, managing director of P&J Live.

“Aberdeen is the gateway to both the UK’s largest National Park, the Cairngorms, as well as the world-famous North Coast 500 touring route, making this an ideal show for the venue to host.”

For caravan and motorhome dealers, the event offers a strategic opportunity to showcase inventory at a crucial time—immediately following the August 2025 product launches. 

Malcolm Sempey, owner of Kirkcaldy Caravans, emphasized the timing’s significance. 

“The October dates are crucial as they coincide with the launch of the new season’s models, providing visitors with their first chance to see these exciting offerings and place their orders,” he said.

The event is also expected to serve as a platform for brands to introduce innovations in sustainability and off-grid capabilities. 

Jamie Taylor, event organizer, noted that the show will reflect shifts in consumer demand. 

“We are excited to showcase an incredible range of models and layouts of caravans, motorhomes, and holiday homes for 2026 that reflect the evolution of the industry, including off-grid options and 4×4 campervans,” he said.
