What is I Want to Love You Till Your Dying Day?
An Upcoming Dark Fantasy Yuri
I Want to Love You Till Your Dying Day was created by Nachi Aono in 2018 in Comic Yuri Hime. It is now published in Japanese on the website Ichijan Plus, and is published in English by Kodasha USA. So far, the series is 7 volumes long, with an 8th volume set to publish on March 17th, 2025. Kodansha describes the plot as,
An orphanage for girls is actually a boot camp, turning out magical child soldiers for a gruesome war. Yet love finds a way to blossom amid bloodshed, in this dramatic, much-anticipated yuri manga that is spiritual kin to the likes of Revolutionary Girl Utena, Otherside Picnic, and Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury.
Because I Want to Love You Till Your Dying Day is a yuri story, you can expect romance amidst the fantasy and action. Specifically, “yuri” is the term used for what is commonly called “girls’ love,” meaning that it focuses on an intimate relationship between two females. It is a less common genre in the anime and manga world, especially in English adaptations, but a few more yuri have been announced recently, keeping fans of the genre happy.
