Apple TV+ has released a new trailer and preview images for Side Quest, the new Mythic Quest expansion series. It will make its debut on the streamer later this month.
The new anthology series comes from the same team behind the beloved and critically acclaimed Mythic Quest, and will expand the franchise’s universe and lore. All four episodes of Side Quest will debut alongside the season four finale of Mythic Quest on Wednesday, March 26 on Apple TV+. Side Quest will explore the lives of employees, players and fans who are impacted by the game in an anthology format.

The series stars Rob McElhenney, Anna Konkle, Derek Waters, William Stanford Davis, Bria Samoné Henderson, Rome Flynn, Leonard Robinson, Gary Kraus, Annamarie Kasper, Esai Morales, Shalita Grant and more as they take on leading roles in each new installment episode.
Side Quest is developed and executive produced by Ashly Burch (Rachel Meyee in Mythic Quest), alongside Mythic Quest series writers John Howell Harris and Katie McElhenney. Megan Ganz, Rob McElhenney, David Hornsby, Charlie Day, Todd Biermann, Nick Frenkel, Michael Rotenberg, Margaret Boykin and Genevieve Jones serve as executive producers. Lionsgate, 3 Arts Entertainment and Ubisoft produce the series for Apple TV+.
Mythic Quest premiered in 2020 on Apple TV+, following a fictional video game studio that produces a popular MMORPG game. McElhenney stars as Ian Grimm, the creator and creative director of the Mythic Quest game. The show has run for four seasons on Apple TV+, with 36 episodes currently available to watch.
Mythic Quest Actors Excited for Series’ Return
The fourth season of Mythic Quest made its debut in January after a two-year break for the series. Recently, two Mythic Quest actors talked with CBR to reflect on the show’s return. Jessie Ennis (Jo) and Naomi Ekperigin (Carol) reflected on how far their characters have come on the way to Mythic Quest’s fourth season. “Every time is just a relief, honestly,” Ennis said about returning. “The timing of this show has felt like a gift from the Lord Above — and I’m not religious!”
