The British Columbia Lodging and Campgrounds Association (BCLCA) unveiled its upcoming schedule of events and activities for 2025, aiming to provide members with valuable opportunities for education, marketing, and collaboration.
The announcement highlights key dates and initiatives designed to help campground owners and operators optimize business practices and stay informed on industry developments.
Campground operators are encouraged to update their listings on Travel-British-Columbia.com The site, which attracts over 300,000 visitors annually, also supplies data to GoRVing.ca’s campground directory. Updates and photos can be submitted to the association’s office to maximize online visibility.
Additionally, BCLCA members can secure paid listings in the annual Super Camping & Select Lodging BC Guide. With a distribution of 80,000 copies, the guide serves as a marketing tool to boost visitor engagement. Anne Philley is handling submissions, with the deadline set for March 28.
Educational opportunities begin on February 12 with a webinar led by Tyler Duffy, CEO of CampLife, titled “Hey, Before Letting Your Gut Decide, Try Making Business Decisions Driven by Data.” The session aims to equip campground operators with data-driven decision-making strategies to enhance profitability and guest satisfaction.
A “Parking Lot” meeting scheduled for February 20 will feature a reservation software panel, providing campground professionals with insights into technology solutions that streamline operations and improve booking management. Registration for both events is available online.
“Topics will include interpreting data reports for informed decision-making, applying pricing strategies to boost revenue, the significance of online booking, and the expansion of reservation software to include other essential management services,” the announcement indicated.
Looking ahead, BCLCA’s Western Ideas Forum is slated for November 3–6, at St. Eugene Golf Resort in Cranbrook.
