Berserk has had all kinds of grisly merchandise that’s just as dark and gritty as the corresponding manga and anime franchise. However, the latest of these goes in a much more adorable direction, even if it still involves a dark armored version of the franchise’s iconic Black Swordsman.

The “Guts Berserker Armor (Phase 0)” figure by Prime 1 Studio reimagines Berserk protagonist Guts as a diminutive collectible in the Cutie1 line. Depicting him in dark armor, the figurine is similar to other “chibi”-style toys from Funko’s Pop! line. Grimly endearing, it’s easily one of the cutest takes on the character and just one of many Berserk items from Prime 1 Studio.

Upcoming Berserk Armor Guts Figurine Turns the Manga’s Protagonist Violently Cute

As the name of the item suggests, Guts Berserker Armor (Phase 0) is a new Cutie1 figurine by Prime 1 Studio based on Guts’ initial Berserker armor from the classic Berserk manga series. Despite its small size, the tiny swordsman comes with a lot of detail on his armored plating, and he also has a cape that, like the rest of him, is composed of PVC, ABS and Neodymium magnet. Carrying his iconic Dragon Slayer sword and wearing a skull helmet, he cuts a brooding and fierce presence, despite his small stature. The helmet can also be lifted, revealing a cute take on Guts’ battle-hardened face. This faux stitching is meant to evoke a stuffed toy — likely the exact opposite of what most Berserk fans might expect from a toy based on the series.

Standing at only 12 cm (4.7 inches) in height, the figurine also has a base magnet made from ABS and Neodymium. It can now be pre-ordered from the Prime 1 Studio for 6,160 yen, or about US$41 (tax included). The estimated release date is sometime in November 2025, meaning that fans still have awhile to secure theirs before they’re shipped out. Prime 1 Studio has released many Berserk figures and other merchandise tied to the property over the years, with most of these being statues and figurines depicting the harsh brutality of the dark fantasy manga. However, other figures in the Cutie1 line do showcase the other stages in Guts’ Berserker armor form, along with stickers and other items depicting these same super-deformed renditions of the character.
