Cyberpunk 2077 benefits from structured mission progression, ensuring narrative flow and immersion; future improvements could refine pacing.
Cyberpunk 2077, much like The Witcher games, has mod support and a dedicated modding community. These mods initially often served to fix elements of the game before branching out into adding new features and systems. One major mod focus is on immersion, wherein mod makers often incorporate subtle changes in order to increase how immersive the experience is.
1
Immersive Rippers
Allows The Player To Sit In The Ripperdoc Chairs

In Cyberpunk 2077, players can visit Ripperdocs. These doctors specialize in cybernetics and are the source of the various cybernetic upgrades in the game. Be it upgrades to the player’s operating system or physical mechanical components such as arms and legs.
Immersive Rippers adds a subtle but effective level of immersion to visiting Ripperdocs. It allows the player to sit in the chair while the procedure is ongoing, as should happen in the context of the game. This allows for a level of roleplay and immersion that the base game does not offer.
2
The Passenger
Johnny Will Appear In The Passenger Seat Of Vehicles

Throughout Cyberpunk 2077, the player sees visions of legendary rockstar and revolutionary, Johnny Silverhand. This is because the experimental chip that V steals contains the imprint of Silverhand, meaning he manifests to the player frequently.
The Passenger adds a deeper level of immersion to Silverhand, wherein he will appear in the passenger seat of the vehicle that the player is driving. This makes sense, as Johnny often appears interacting with the environment, meaning him sitting in the car isn’t far removed from what should happen.
3
Cosmopolitan Night City
Alters The Languages That NPCs Speak

Night City is a modern, sprawling city that has a great level of cultural diversity. The city is occupied by many cultures and people of various nationalities. However, most main characters in the game only speak English, the odds of which are slim in such a varied city.

Cyberpunk 2077 has some amazing quotes that showcase the brilliance of dialogue and characters, whether emotional or funny.
Cosmopolitan Night City makes it so many main characters in the game speak their native languages, translating dialogue to these different languages. This adds an extra layer of immersion, especially in the fact that V can still understand them due to the Kiroshi Translator cybernetic enhancement. Hearing more varied languages throughout the game makes Night City feel like the Mega-City it is described as, a true melting pot of various nationalities.
4
Immersive Timeskip
See Time Move When Time Is Skipped

Cyberpunk 2077, like many RPGs, has a time skip system, either from a menu or while sleeping. This allows the player to skip time, changing the time of day or skipping the time needed to wait for a quest objective.
Immersive Timeskip improves the time skip system in an immersive manner. It allows the player to actually witness the skipping of time, watching the hours go by as the sky shifts and the sun changes position in the sky. This is a nice immersive touch that allows players to visualize the passage of time.
5
Immersive First Person
Improves First-Person Perspective

Cyberpunk 2077 is a primarily first-person game, designed for the first-person perspective. Vehicles can be driven using a third-person view, but players must remain in first-person when on foot. Despite being designed for first-person, some improvements could be made to the perspective.
Immersive First Person is a mod that aims to improve the first-person view. It allows the player to fully see their body, looking down in order to get a realistic and immersive view of their torso and legs. The mod also adds a free-look system, allowing the player to turn their head without their body moving. This is an immersive and realistic interpretation of a first-person perspective that subtly improves how immersive the game is.
6
Realistic Traffic Density
Increases Traffic Density

Despite Night City being a huge city with a large population, a massive metropolis with sky-high buildings and huge industry, the roads often feel somewhat barren. Of course, performance is a limiting factor to traffic density, although Night City would feel more immersive if there were more cars on the road.

With countless hours in Cyberpunk 2077, veterans and new players alike could learn a thing or two from these pro tips.
This is exactly what Realistic Traffic Density aims to remedy. It includes mass amounts of traffic to the roads, mimicking traffic found in real-life large cities. This makes a lot more sense, and makes Night City feel more alive, realistic, and immersive. After all, large cities are best known for lots of traffic.
7
Night City Alive
Makes Night City Feel More Realistic And Alive

As aforementioned, in lore, Night City is a huge metropolis that is densely packed and always alive. From crime, to police patrols, to foot traffic and people going about their day, Night City should feel like a true living city. The main issue with the base game is that much of Night City is effectively static unless witnessed or interacted with by the player.
Night City Alive remedies this and makes Night City feel truly alive. It makes it so gang members join traffic, makes civilians far more aggressive and responsive to both gang and player crime, as well as includes more gang/police behaviors and interactions. These inclusions add an extra immersive level of activity to Night City, especially given its position as a crime-ridden city that is always rife with action.
