Horde Events

A Quick Way To Grab One Legendary Item

Horde events can pop up in any region on the map. These events involve the player tracking down a group of enemies and taking out the enemy leader, who is usually a legendary enemy.

While there is only normally one legendary enemy present during these events, they are pretty easy to complete, and they don’t usually take longer than a couple of minutes. Not only that, but depending on what region the event is based in, there’s a small chance for players to receive some rare apparel upon completing a horde event.

Leader Of The Pack

Guaranteed Three 1-Star Legendary Items

Leader Of The Pack is another quick and easy event that only takes place in the forest region. Players will need to take down three wolf packs. The leader of each pack will be a 1-star legendary wolf.

While a 1-star legendary item isn’t ideal, depending on the effect, it could be useful for trying to unlock some rare or highly sought-after box mods. This event is ideal for low-level players as it is pretty easy to complete, and the rewards can be somewhat decent.

Uranium Fever

Three Guaranteed Legendary Enemies

Uranium Fever is a popular Public Event that is great for farming junk items, and decent for grabbing a couple of legendary items. Provided the extractors remain functional for the majority of the event, three Supervisor Mole Miners will spawn. These are guaranteed legendary enemies.

It is also possible for standard Mole Miners to spawn as legendary enemies; however, this is pretty rare. The legendary rating of the Supervisor Mole Miners will vary. However, three guaranteed legendary enemies are better than none.

At Least Two Legendary Rewards (Usually More)

Test Your Metal is a challenging event, especially for newer players. However, it is great for grabbing a few legendary items. For the most part, players can expect to encounter a handful of legendary enemies during the event. However, during the final round of this event, two 3-star legendary Grimm Bots will spawn. These enemies are pretty tough, but usually, there are a few players around to lend a hand. It’s not uncommon for players to walk away from this event with between 3 and 5 legendary items, which makes this event pretty lucrative.

Radiation Rumble

Great For XP And For Farming 1-6 Legendary Items

Radiation Rumble is one of the most popular events in Fallout 76. To complete it, players will need to defend 4 scavengers while also collecting ore. The more ore collected, the better the rewards. As players begin to deposit ore, tougher enemies will begin to spawn. These tougher enemies have a good chance of being legendary.

Neurological Warfare

Neurological Warfare is the Skyline Valley region’s nuked event. In order to activate this Public Event, the player will need to launch a nuke over the Skyline Valley region. Completing the event itself is pretty simple. Players need to kill three Storm Goliaths.

These enemies are tough, but nuked events tend to draw in lots of players, which helps to make the event easier. Each of the Storm Goliaths is a 3-star legendary enemy, meaning that the player is guaranteed to receive 3 legendary items. Players will also receive one of the legendary weapons that is tied to this event upon completion, bringing the total number of legendary items up to 4. There can sometimes be other legendary robots that spawn in the event. But at minimum, players will walk away with 4 legendary items.

Eviction Notice

5 Or More Legendary Items, With No Real Limit

When it comes to farming legendary items, there is no better event than Eviction Notice. In this difficult but fun Public Event, players fend off endless waves of Super Mutants while keeping the Rad Scrubber functional. As the event starts, players will need to destroy six meat bags in order to begin spawning lots of legendary enemies.

It’s not uncommon for players to walk away with over 10 legendary items upon completing this event. However, a realistic minimum number would be around 5. This is a great event for gaining XP and farming legendary items, junk, and ammo.

Most Seasonal Events

Legendary Item Count Varies

There are lots of seasonal events that take place in Fallout 76 over the course of a year. Most of them allow players to earn some rare items, and many are great for farming legendary items. Some events, such as Holiday and Spooky Scorched, allow players to endlessly hunt down legendary enemies. Others, such as Fasnacht, are fixed events that provide players with one guaranteed 3-star legendary reward. It’s always worth keeping an eye on Bethesda’s calendar to keep up to date with any upcoming seasonal events, as they are typically pretty lucrative for getting plenty of legendary weapons and armor pieces.
