Morena’s Contagion is an Overpowered Ability

The Heil-Ly mafia family is one of three of the Kakin Empire’s largest mafia families and is currently being hunted by the other two families for their betrayal of Prince Tserriednich. It is led by Morena Prudo who is an important antagonist in this arc.

This family’s nen abilities bloom after they’ve reached a certain level thanks to Morena’s own ability, Contagion. Some abilities fans have seen are Padaille’s Fistful of Weapons, Terebellum’s Damage, and Yokotani’s A Battle of Wits, with many more yet to be revealed.

The Nen Abilities Of Some Members Of Xi-yu

The Xi-Yu Family is Powerful

The Xi-Yu is another one of the three biggest mafia families in the Kakin Empire, and is probably the most relevant in the story right now. Their boss is Onior Longbao, and their underboss is Hinrigh Biganduffno, a character many have grown to like after his contribution in these chapters.

Ever since the return of Hunter x Hunter, readers were able to see many Xi-Yu members showcase their nen powers. The most interesting is Hinrigh Biganduffno, with his ability Biohazard which allows him to turn objects into animals while retaining some of their object’s features. Other members fans saw in action are Zakuro Casturd and Lynch Fullbocco with their abilities Bloody Mary and Body and Soul.

A Glimpse At Tserriednich’s Past

Tserriednich Might be The Arc’s Main Antagonist

The Fourth Prince of the Kakin Empire is being built up as the main antagonist of the Succession Contest Arc with his cruel and evil nature coupled with him discovering that he is a nen prodigy with an overpowered specialist ability known as Parallel Future which lets him peak 10 seconds into the future. Added to that is his Guardian Spirit Beast, and he becomes truly unstoppable and the most likely to ascend to the throne out of his siblings.

In chapter 394 called “Hypothesis,” readers see a group of individuals who seem to be familiar with Prince Tserriednich and even call him by nicknames such as “Tserried” or “Tserri.” He probably met these people during his days at the Royal Military School of Kakin. It also showcased a bit of Tserriednich’s psychotic nature as he shot a fellow cadet over an argument in a glimpse of his past.

Hisoka’s Real Whereabouts

The First Hisoka Was a Fake

The last time fans had seen Hisoka prior to the release of these chapters was way back when his fight against Chrollo Lucilfer concluded. This resulted in his defeat due to Chrollo’s cunning strategy and stolen abilities. This led to Hisoka murdering the Phantom Troupe members – Sharlnark and Kurtopi, which set the Phantom Troupe on his tracks.

Hisoka has been on the Black Whale for a while now, and he was supposedly found by two members of the Xi-Yu mafia family under Hinirigh, Zakuro Casturd and Lynch Fullbocco. However, this Hisoka was a fake, and was in reality Bonolenov. The real Hisoka was in a casino and is currently being followed by Bonolenov. His goal is to kill all the Spiders, which is not out of the realm of possibilties at his current power level. His only real opponent would be Chrollo himself.

The Spider’s Past

Chrollo and the Phantom Troupe Get Their Backstory

The biggest reveal concerning the Hunter x Hunter chapters was, without a doubt, the unfolding of the past of the Phantom Troupe, which especially focused on a beloved Hunter x Hunter antagonist, Chrollo Lucilfer, the head of the Spider.

These events happen in “The Founding” chapters, parts 1, 2, and 3, which span over chapters 395, 396, and 397 and show to readers the events that led to the creation of the Phantom Troupe.

In Meteor City, citizens do not have birth certificates, which makes the kidnapping of children all the easier for traffickers. These chapters see Chrollo grow closer with original Phantom Troupe members thanks to a VHC tape and performance they put up. All was good until their friend Sarasa was kidnapped, before being killed and cut into pieces. Chrollo decided to find the killers of Sarasa, and this event changed them all and resulted in the formation of the Spider.
