As the 2025 camping season approaches, families visiting Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts will have the opportunity to participate in a lively tradition: waking up Yogi Bear, Boo Boo, and Cindy Bear from their winter hibernation.
Throughout the spring, guests at various Jellystone Park locations will gather with pots, pans, and homemade noisemakers to create a parade aimed at rousing the beloved characters.
“This is easily the loudest activity we have all year,” said Trent Hershenson, vice president of marketing for Camp Jellystone, the company that franchises Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts across North America.

Many locations also offer craft activities where children can create their own noisemakers to contribute to the event.
The schedule for these celebrations varies by location, with different parks setting their wake-up events at different weekends throughout the spring.
Following the parade, campers can participate in additional activities, including photo opportunities and organized events featuring Yogi Bear and friends. “Once they are awake, Yogi Bear, Boo Boo, and Cindy Bear can then take part in organized activities which are scheduled throughout the season,” Hershenson added.
Jellystone Park locations, known for their family-friendly atmosphere, offer a variety of attractions such as pools, water slides, mini-golf, foam parties, wagon rides, and dance parties.

With over 75 franchised locations across the United States and Canada, the parks continue to provide themed weekends and seasonal events to enhance the guest experience.
Several locations have already scheduled their wake-up events. In Lodi, California, the event will take place the weekend of April 4-6, featuring a noisemaker craft activity followed by a noisemaker parade and a Bear Boogie Dance Party.
Pittsfield, Illinois, will hold its event on April 11-13, including a pajama karaoke party and a plant-a-flower activity. In Monticello, Iowa, guests can participate in a craft show following the character wake-up from April 11-13.
For those in the Midwest, Knightstown, Indiana, will combine the wake-up event with Easter celebrations from April 18-20, including egg decorating, egg tossing, and an Easter egg hunt.

North Java, New York, will host its wake-up event from April 25-27, with an educational component where guests can learn about bears from local wildlife experts. In Milton, New Hampshire, campers visiting from May 16-18 can create noisemakers and participate in a Bear Boogie Dance Party.
In Canada, the Woodstock, New Brunswick location will mark the wake-up weekend from May 30 to June 1, featuring a pet parade and a “Pampered People Pet Show,” where guests dress up as their favorite pet and perform impersonations.
As the tradition continues, Jellystone Park’s partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences ensures that guests can interact with some of the most recognizable cartoon characters in a lively, outdoor setting.
Families planning to visit a Jellystone Park location this spring can expect a mix of themed entertainment, hands-on activities, and engaging experiences designed to kick off the camping season in a memorable way.
