Campspot’s recently released 2024 Wrapped data reveals that campgrounds utilizing dynamic pricing strategies achieved an average revenue increase of 83%. The findings offer key insights into the evolving camping industry, highlighting how campground owners are leveraging technology to optimize operations and enhance guest experiences.

Erin Stender, Campspot’s chief marketing officer, described the results as a testament to the platform’s impact on campground success.

“At Campspot, we are proud to play a role in helping campground owners thrive,” Stender said. “The numbers are a celebration of what we accomplished together in 2024, a year marked by progress, innovation, and shared success.”

One of the report’s key takeaways is the $81.1 million in revenue generated through Campspot’s various tools, including add-ons, lock site features, and grid optimization. These features allow campgrounds to tailor offerings to meet guest preferences while increasing operational efficiency.

Another critical insight from the report highlights the value of Campspot’s certification program. According to the data, campgrounds with at least one certified staff member generate 53% more revenue on average compared to those without certified team members.

The certification program equips campground operators with the skills needed to navigate Campspot’s suite of tools effectively. By enhancing staff knowledge, campgrounds can improve operational efficiency.

The Campspot Marketplace also emerged as another significant driver of revenue growth in 2024. This online platform connected campgrounds with over 106,000 new campers throughout the year. The data shows that 74% of these bookings were made by individuals visiting a particular campground for the first time.

In addition to the Campspot Marketplace, the report emphasizes the impact of dynamic pricing, a strategy that adjusts rates based on factors such as demand and time. Campspot’s dynamic pricing feature generated an additional $6.6 million in revenue for campgrounds in 2024.

Campgrounds using this pricing model also saw an average revenue increase of 83%.
