Campspot has expanded its integration with RemoteLock, enhancing access control options for campgrounds. The initial integration, launched in 2024, allowed campground operators to use RemoteLock for gated community areas. 

The latest update, Version 2, now extends this functionality to individual lodging units, providing a more seamless experience for guests and operators.

RemoteLock’s cloud-based access control software integrates with smart locks, booking platforms, and property management systems, streamlining operations for campground owners. 

Through the Campspot integration, automated access codes are generated for locked or gated areas, allowing campgrounds to improve security while offering a convenient guest experience.

“The success of our initial integration demonstrated the powerful impact automation can make for campground operators and their guests,” Campspot’s Senior Product Manager Lesley Sablatura, said. 

“This enhancement makes check-ins even easier, increasing operational efficiency, and ensuring guests have the best possible stay, with less hassle for property managers. We are excited for our users to take full advantage of these new capabilities,” Sablatura added.

With this update, access codes are automatically generated three days before a guest’s stay. “Codes are generated 3 days prior to the guest’s stay; codes are also generated for any reservation created 0 to 3 days prior to the reservation start date,” a press release indicated.

The system enhances security by providing each guest with a unique access code that remains active only for the duration of their stay. Once the reservation ends, the code automatically expires. Contactless check-in is another key benefit of the enhanced integration.
