Care Camps Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to funding pediatric oncology camps across the United States and Canada, appointed two new members to its board of directors.
Jeff Hirsch, owner and CEO of Campers Inn RV, and Nate Thompson, partner at KCN Campgrounds, will assume their roles as the organization prepares for its upcoming board meeting in Jacksonville, Florida.
Rebecca Kirch, board chair of Care Camps Foundation, welcomed Hirsch and Thompson to the leadership team. “We celebrate and welcome the addition of our newest esteemed board members, and I can attest that Care Camps Foundation has truly curated a group of great minds collectively and wholly committed to our cause,” Kirch said.
Kirch, who recently took on the role of board chair, highlighted the foundation’s goals for the coming year. “Together with the creative efforts of our Board Members and exceptionally talented CCF staff, we look forward to a new era of success in funding the many US and Canada oncology camps that bring real-time and lasting healing to kids and families coping with childhood cancer,” she said.
Hirsch brings over 46 years of experience in the RV industry as the leader of Campers Inn RV, a multi-location dealership.
“I’m excited to join Care Camps Foundation in supporting their mission to bring hope and healing to children and families facing cancer,” Hirsch said.
Thompson, a seasoned entrepreneur and real estate investor, has led multiple high-tech ventures since launching his first software company in 1995. As a partner at KCN Campgrounds, he has overseen the growth of a portfolio of outdoor hospitality properties, blending investment expertise with a passion for the industry.
“Care Camps Foundation is close to my heart,” Thompson said. “I look forward to serving on the Board, bringing industry expertise and my personal commitment to fighting childhood cancer.”
