Center Parcs Elveden Forest in Suffolk is set to introduce a new zipline attraction following approval from the local council.
The 145-meter ZipZag ride will be located on the western edge of the park’s main lake, offering visitors an aerial experience with twists and turns. The attraction will complement the existing Aerial Adventure zipline at the site.
According to a report by The Sun, plans for the ride include a spiral tower serving as both the starting and ending point. While an official timeline for construction and opening has yet to be confirmed, the ride is expected to be similar to the ZipZag attraction at Gulliver’s Kingdom in Derbyshire.
Elveden Forest was the second Center Parcs resort to open in the UK in 1989, following the launch of Sherwood Forest in 1987.
The brand has since expanded with additional sites, including Longleat, Whinfell Forest, and Woburn Forest, as well as Longford Forest in Ireland.
Other Center Parcs locations are also adding new attractions, such as an “adventure nets” experience at Longleat, featuring elevated netted walkways and treehouses up to three meters high.
A spokesperson for Center Parcs stated, “The 145-metre ZipZag ride at Elveden Forest will join the Aerial Adventure, another zipline attraction at the holiday park.” The company has not yet announced when work will begin on the new installation.
For operators in the outdoor hospitality and adventure tourism sectors, Center Parcs’ continued investment in high-adrenaline activities highlights the growing demand for experiential attractions.
The rise of adventure-based offerings, such as zip lines and aerial courses, reflects a trend toward enhancing guest engagement through active, immersive experiences.
As more resorts expand their adventure portfolios, businesses may consider how similar attractions could drive visitor interest and differentiate their offerings in a competitive market.
