Online reservations for the 2025 camping season at Charlottenburgh Park open on March 3, giving visitors the opportunity to secure campsites at the Raisin Region Conservation Authority (RRCA)-managed property.

Located along the St. Lawrence River near Summerstown, Ontario, the park is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts and families.

The campground offers a range of serviced and unserviced campsites, along with amenities such as a beach, boat launch, and an extensive network of nature trails. RRCA has completed several enhancements, including a new boardwalk connecting two trails and a beaver baffle demonstration site aimed at managing water flow in wetland areas.

“We look forward to welcoming campers and day-use visitors when the Park opens during the Victoria Day long weekend in May,” Josianne Sabourin, RRCA administrative assistant overseeing the park’s operations, said, as reported by The Seeker.

“We encourage campers to secure their sites by booking them early, as we are expecting another busy camping season,” Sabourin added.

Charlottenburgh Park has been recognized as Cornwall and the surrounding area’s top campground for five consecutive years. It features diverse ecosystems, including white pine and spruce plantations, mixed hardwood forests, and a provincially significant wetland.

The park’s nature trails remain open to the public year-round at no cost.

In 2024, the park recorded nearly 26,000 visitors, highlighting its growing popularity among local and regional campers. The steady increase in attendance underscores the demand for well-maintained outdoor spaces catering to a range of recreational activities.

Daily, weekend, and monthly campsite reservations can be made online at rrca.on.ca/Camping. Seasonal campsites, which offer long-term stays throughout the summer, have already been allocated for the upcoming season.
