Chelsea Handler is having fun with the extremely unfunny It Ends With Us saga.

At the 2025 Critics Choice Awards, the Chelsea Lately star poked fun at the legal battle between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni over the latter’s alleged sexual harassment on the set of their domestic abuse drama.

“I want to acknowledge that we’ve been through a lot lately, not just here in Los Angeles, but our entire country — waking up every day not knowing what news we’re going to hear that will disappoint or horrify us,” Handler said. “So it is important in times like these to have a distraction, and that’s why I want to personally extend my gratitude to Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively.”

She continued, “Thank you for providing us with that distraction. I’m grateful. I think we’re all grateful. And I think we’re good. I think everybody in this room, no matter whose side you’re on, we can all agree to accept that there’s probably not going to be a sequel. It ends with us, guys.”

Lively and Baldoni weren’t the only targets in her monologue. The comedian also took aim at a certain pop star’s relationship with Ethan Slater.

“It is so nice to see some of our most beloved child stars all grown up and thriving: Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, and Ariana Grande are all nominated tonight,” Handler said. “And now Ariana has even found love with a Munchkin!”

The CCA audience either didn’t understand the reference — Slater’s Boq from Wicked is a Munchkin — or disapproved of it, because the room’s crowd seemed aghast with their awkward murmuring. “That’s good news, everybody!” Handler insisted.

A later Wicked joke about Grande and Cynthia Erivo performed much better. “I loved the Wicked press tour,” she said. “The two of them all over each other. I remember the first time I did molly.”

Handler also sang the praises of the papal thriller Conclave. “Ralph Fiennes, don’t think I’m not gonna talk about you,” she said. “You’ve played a ruthless Nazi, evil Lord Voldemort, and now a celibate cardinal, and somehow made me wanna have sex with you in all three roles. I am not alone. You’ve made some truly unsexy people very sexy. So I’m begging you: Please, never play Vladimir Putin. I can’t do that again.”

Wicked and The Substance both won three awards Friday night, while Conclave and A Real Pain each won two. Shōgun led the TV pack with four wins.
