Chrishell Stause is mourning the loss of her dog Gracie, a rescue terrier mix she adopted from a pet shelter.
“Our beloved Gracie left us peacefully today,” Stause wrote on Instagram on Monday, sharing a carousel of photos featuring the little furball. “Thank you to anyone that was a friend to her and helped make her life here better. It’s impossible to post a fraction of the joy this angel brought me.”
Stause added that Gracie was adopted from the Burbank Animal Shelter in Los Angeles County, and for the rest of the week, potential pet owners could adopt with the adoption fees waived if they mention Gracie’s name.

Stause adopted Gracie, who was 14 when she passed, at 6 years old. The pup has even appeared in a few episodes of her human’s glitzy real estate reality show Selling Sunset. A vocal advocate for pet adoption, the reality star and her beloved Gracie have campaigned for PETA to speak out against dog breeders.
It remains to be seen if little Gracie will make a posthumous appearance in season 9 of Selling Sunset, which Stause recently revealed has wrapped production. Speaking to Us Weekly, Stause teased that the new season will be “very explosive” and actually premiere sooner rather than later.
“It is gonna come out sooner than, at least I thought, in our normal cycle,” Stause said. “Normally it comes out around November. I do know that it’s coming out sooner than what I thought, so it won’t be too long.” And “with storylines that were left a little open-ended,” she added, “you’re definitely going to get a lot of resolution.”
