It wouldn’t be a Donkey Kong game without having a level where you are racing along a perilous track in a minecart. That is exactly what happens in the sixth level of Donkey Kong Country Returns HD. Except for the part at the beginning, you spend most of this level in a minecart trying to avoid crashing into enemies or falling off the tracks. There are plenty of collectibles to find in Crazy Cart, but they can be pretty easy to miss since they often require split second jumps.

All Letter Locations in Crazy Cart
The first letter can be found soon after the area where you found the mini-game. Once you get on the minecart, keep an eye out for a series of enemies that you can jump on. You will see the ‘K’ fairly soon after this, and you will need to time jumping on an enemy so that you launch up and can reach it.
The letter ‘O’ is almost immediately after you get onto the second track after the third puzzle piece. Jump before going down the slope to reach the ‘O’.
Soon after the checkpoint, you will have a series of jumps that you will need to make while still in the minecart. Right before the end of a track, there will be the letter ‘N’, but you have to time your jump so that you can get it without falling off.
A little after you’ve claimed the letter ‘N’, the tracks will lead you out of the cave and out into the open where you will have to dodge a series of enemies. After you’ve jumped across several narrow platforms, keep an eye out for the part of the track that slops down toward a hole. The letter ‘G’ is right at this point.
All Puzzle Piece Locations in Crazy Cart
The first puzzle piece can be found right at the start of the level. Like in King of Cling, there will be a hidden puzzle piece off to the left from where you start.
After you’ve claimed the first piece, continue onward in the level until you reach the large circular platform that you can slam. This creates a path that allows you to go further into the level, but it also opens a path to a hidden mini-game on the top left. Gather all of the bananas, the balloon, and the two coins within the time limit to make the second puzzle piece appear.
The third puzzle piece is found soon after finding ‘K’. You will see a minetrack above you, and if you accidentally jump too high you will end up on it. You want to stay on the bottom track to the very end to obtain the third puzzle piece. Just make sure to jump to reach the upper track to avoid falling off.
Almost immediately after the letter ‘O’, you will come across another jump. You will see the fourth puzzle piece floating there, but you will have to be quick, or you will miss it as you make the jump.
Right after the fourth puzzle piece, the camera will zoom closer to Donkey Kong. There will be several bananas along with a floating banana bunch. Immediately after this, there will be the last puzzle piece floating in the air, so be ready to jump to get it.
Time Attack Tips
Since the majority of this level takes place on a minecart that you can’t control the speed of, the best way to get a good clear time on this level is to get to the minecart as fast as possible. If you mess up even one jump, you are better off just restarting the level if your goal is to get the gold time. The rest is just getting through the level without hitting anything or falling off the track.
