Several businesses in the outdoor hospitality sector have been recognized for their excellence at the 12th Dorset Tourism Awards

The annual event, which evaluates businesses on customer service, sustainability, digital communications, and accessibility, celebrated standout performers in the region’s camping, caravanning, and glamping industries.

Monkton Wyld Holiday Park secured the Gold award for Camping & Caravanning Park of the Year. 

The park, located near Charmouth, has a history of providing high-quality experiences for visitors and has been recognized in previous awards. 

Coppet Hill Partners in Whitchurch Canonicorum earned a Silver award in the same category, further emphasizing the strength of Dorset’s camping and caravanning offerings. 

West Dorset Leisure Holidays at Highlands End near Bridport also received Silver in the Ethical, Responsible & Sustainable Tourism Award, showcasing its commitment to responsible business practices within the industry.

Dorset Forest Garden Glamping, located near Beaminster, won Gold in the Glamping Business of the Year category. 

“We’re so delighted to win Gold,” owners Tracy and James Oldfield expressed their excitement over the achievement, “A lot of hard work goes on behind the scenes to give our guests a relaxing experience.”

“We’re fortunate to be in a beautiful location and in a county of so many wonderful tourism businesses we feel very proud to get this award.”

Their comments reflect the growing emphasis on quality and guest satisfaction in the glamping sector, a trend that continues to shape the industry.

The ongoing success of these businesses underscores the importance of innovation and service excellence in the outdoor hospitality sector.
