The Butthole (yes, with a capital B) of RuPaul’s Drag Race season 17 might’ve puckered up on the Main Stage for the last time, but Lydia Butthole Kollins is officially taking the title of reigning “Drag Race Piss Queen” from Sasha Colby, who famously peed on the Main Stage back on season 15.

After wearing multiple penises on the runway, exposing her rotted side with her challenge-winning Villains Roast performance and setting the fandom ablaze with her fiery lip-sync kiss shared with boyfriend Kori King, Pittsburgh spooky queen Lydia sashayed away from the competition following her performance in an acting challenge inspired by Feud: Capote vs. the Swans — and now she tells EW she left her mark in the Badonka Dunk Tank.

While her comedic acting prowess didn’t necessarily wow the judges this time around, Lydia still went out in memorable fashion, quite literally, after she whipped out a pair of scissors and struggled to cut her floor-length, fur-covered dress off of her body in a spectacularly entertaining flop of a lip-sync gag. Below, Lydia tells Entertainment Weekly what went wrong with the maneuver, spills on her relationship with Kori, and looks back at some of the most memorable moments of the season.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: There’s speculation that your relationship with Kori isn’t real. Is this real or a stunt leading up to the kiss?

LYDIA BUTTHOLE KOLLINS: [Laughs] No! It’s real. We weren’t planning on anything, just living presently with each other [on set]. I was hanging out with her last week, and I talk to her every day. It’s as real as it can get, kid!

Kori said in our exit interview that you made the first move. Who made the first move? Did you have to sneak around on set?

We were completely separated and I only saw her when we were in the Werk Room. It was tough. It wasn’t an exciting, passionate, romantic thing on the show. She swears up and down that I made the first move. I might’ve checked her out first, my neck might’ve snapped before hers. She was definitely putting her arm around me before I was even sure that she liked me.

When was your first reunion after the show wrapped, and what did you do for your first date?

We actually did drag, we worked together. We did this whole Boston tour, which means I just stopped at a couple places in Boston for performances after the season was announced. That was our first outing with each other. Then, after the weekend was over, we went and had some good Italian food in Boston.

Last week, Suzie Toot told me that she considered having a fake relationship with Kori because she felt Kori was flirting with her. Were you aware of this?

No, I was not, and I have a message for her: Suzie, you can catch these hands, honey, before you try and come for me or my man! We look alike, so… throw enough twinks in the room with Kori King, she’ll figure it out.

Kori and I also discussed her piss bottles after a social media video showed one in the background behind her at home. When did you realize Kori pisses in bottles? Have you seen them in person?

No! I’ve learned to take everything Kori says as a joke or with a grain of salt. I’m not entirely convinced that was piss. If it was, don’t bring it around me. I think you should ask the next couple of girls, because I’ve not looked for evidence.

Speaking of piss, you said last week that you were going to piss in the dunk tank. Did you actually pee in it?

Joey, you might have to hold my hand when I tell you this: Yes, I did. I’m sorry. I couldn’t hold it. I was too excited.

What did you think of Arrietty’s mirror message about Onya Nurve?

It’s no secret that Arrietty might be good at doing drag. Some might say. Surprisingly. Her runways will be missed heavily. Getting eliminated is a tough thing, so she was probably just fired up in the moment. It was definitely uncalled for, but I don’t think either of them hold hard feelings. If you have hate, put it on my page for the engagement boost. Don’t send it to Arrietty.

On to the acting challenge, did you have any inclination — whether it was feedback or a vibe in the room — that you weren’t giving what the judges wanted?

Absolutely. All of that confidence I had going into this challenge was completely put on and fake. I had no preconceived notion that I was going to do well in this challenge, which might’ve played into my downfall a little bit. I wasn’t excited, I was super nervous the whole time. Scripted acting work isn’t something I’m known to excel in. I knew, going into this, that it wasn’t going to be the one for me.

This episode also included the dreaded “Who should go home and why?” question on the Main Stage, and only Onya said you, adding that you’re the “weaker one.” Did that surprise you?

I don’t think it was necessarily surprising. All the girls chose Suzie because they were intimidated because she’s big competition. I wasn’t surprised to hear that from anyone. I think I’d looked down on myself in the competition and was finding my footing a little bit. What she said, I’d been echoing in my head.

You lip-synced against Lana Ja’Rae. You said you were excited to show a stunt. Did you practice it?

No! I think it was apparent that I didn’t. Those scissors were just seating in my breast cup for the entire night. In hindsight, I should’ve just kept them there and kept chucking along with the lip-sync.

What exactly happened during the scissors mishap?

I got in my head. That Kim Petras verse lasts nine years when you’re trying to cut yourself out of a gown made of thick carpet material and faux fur. It was a recipe for disaster. Mix that with panic, dread, and disappointment from the judges, pack your bags! I was just hoping for a miracle at that point.

What’s next for you?

Stay tuned on Instagram and everywhere else. Keep being passionate, keep making art, and showing up to the meet and greets and being excited about my drag. For any directors out there: Put me in a horror movie! Smile 3, I’m coming for you.
