The 2025 Florida and Alabama Outdoor Hospitality Convention & Expo will feature a session on asset protection strategies for campground and RV park owners.
Randy Hughes, known as Mr. Land Trust, will present “Land Trusts Made Simple” on May 7 at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando, Florida, providing attendees with insights into securing their investments and maintaining financial privacy.
Hughes, a real estate investor since 1969, specializes in helping property owners establish and manage Land Trusts. His session will cover how these trusts can hold property titles securely, reduce exposure to legal risks, and safeguard assets.
He will also discuss why using limited liability companies (LLCs) for property ownership may not always provide the best protection.
The event will offer practical guidance on legal structures that can shield campgrounds and RV parks from lawsuits and financial threats. Attendees will learn how to use Land Trusts to manage property ownership discreetly, ensuring that their business interests remain private and protected.
Hughes will also introduce the concept of Personal Property Trusts, which can be used to secure valuable assets such as vehicles and equipment. He will provide “real-world examples” of how these strategies have helped property owners avoid legal entanglements and financial losses.
The session aims to equip owners with tools to manage their properties more effectively while maintaining legal and financial security. Hughes will discuss asset protection in the context of current industry trends, highlighting strategies that align with the evolving needs of outdoor hospitality businesses.
Campground and RV park owners attending the expo will have the opportunity to ask questions and receive expert advice on implementing Land Trusts in their own operations. The session will provide actionable steps for those looking to strengthen their business against unforeseen legal and financial threats.
The session will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort. Registration for the expo is open, with additional details available through event organizers.
