Dragon Ball fans loved seeing Goku and Vegeta going Super Saiyan as kids and venturing into the Demon Realm in the Daima anime series. Of course, there was some negativity around the whole idea, but contrary to what some fans believed, the series delivered a great storyline and some impeccable action sequences.

No matter how much we adored the kid versions of Goku and Vegeta, with each passing episode, we hoped to see these two characters return to their adulthood. Well, Dragon Ball Daima recently released the penultimate episode of its first season, and the creators gave fans exactly what they wanted by bringing back Goku and Vegeta to their adult forms.

Glorio’s Wish Made Goku And Vegeta Return To Their Adulthood

Piccolo And The Others Also Revert To Their Adult Forms

Right after Goku defeated Majin Buu, Gomah decided to use Earth’s Dragon Balls to de-age every warrior who fought against Majin Buu. He couldn’t use the wish to kill everyone; otherwise, he would have chosen that option. Regardless, Gomah thought that he could suppress the frightening power of these Saiyans by turning them into kids. That way, he could prevent these warriors from the outer world from becoming a threat to his reign in the Demon Realm. Well, he couldn’t be more wrong. Before all this, Goku and the others weren’t even aware of the existence of the Demon Realm. But after being turned into kids, they had no choice but to travel to the Demon world and reverse the effect of Gomah’s wish.

That’s the first time you’ve gotten my name correct – Glorio to Goku.

Goku and Vegeta had very little time to adjust to the changes, but eventually, they learned how to fight in their miniature selves. On top of that, they very quickly adapted to the heavy air of the Demon Realm and were able to fight the toughest of opponents, including the Tamagami. Despite being trapped in a kid’s body, the Saiyans were able to unlock all of their transformations. That being said, Goku and Vegeta were still substantially weaker than their adult versions. It was crucial for them to return to adulthood to defeat Gomah’s Third-eye form, and well, that’s where Glorio stepped in and proved useful.

Glorio Betrays Arinsu In The Final Moment

From the very beginning, Glorio was loyal to Arinsu, and he was using Goku and the others to gather all the Dragon Balls at the behest of the Glind. Despite some setbacks, Arinsu did gather all three Dragon Balls of the Demon Realm. Since Glorio knew how to speak Namekian, Arinsu asked her protegee to summon Demon Realm’s Porunga and wish for the Glind to become the ruler of the demon world. However, Glorio spent way too much time with Goku, so he knew better than to be manipulated by Arinsu.

As expected, the demon boy had a change of heart in the final moment, and he shifted his loyalty towards Goku. He was certain that even with all the power-ups, including Super Saiyan 4, Goku wasn’t strong enough to defeat Gomah. So, instead of putting another arrogant and ruthless person on the Demon Realm’s throne, Glorio wished for everyone from the outer world to return to their adult bodies.

Adult Goku And Vegeta Unlock Their New Transformations In Dragon Ball Daima

Goku’s Super Saiyan 4 And Vegeta’s Super Saiyan 3 Forms Can Actually Save The Day

Goku and Vegeta didn’t have a tough time defeating the Tamagami; however, Gomah was way ahead of their leagues because of the evil third eye. The duo couldn’t defeat the Demon King even with the help of the other warriors on the scene. Of course, Goku was able to land a few hits after being turned into Super Saiyan 4 by Neva, but that was the extent of it. The same goes for Vegeta’s SSJ3 transformation — it was enough to scratch Gomah but not to defeat him. Glorio realizes that Gomah is extremely close to defeating everyone, and the only way to stop him is to bring the Saiyans back to their adult selves. Well, he did exactly what was required to save everyone. Adult Goku and Vegeta are significantly stronger than their kid versions, so they now finally have a chance at defeating Gomah.

Don’t underestimate us now that we are back to normal – Vegeta to Gomah.

Goku transformed into SSJ4 through the energy surge he got from Neva, but at the time, he didn’t actually earn that transformation. Regardless of the method, Goku did experience the power of SSJ4, which made it easier for him to tap into that power on his own. So, after flexing his first three SSJ forms, Adult Goku powered up to transform into Super Saiyan 4. It’s true that Kid Goku’s SSJ4 form was ineffective against Gomah, but the outcome could be different this time since he is way stronger in his adult form. Also, there’s a chance that the Adult Goku can hold on to the new transformation for a longer period since he transformed into SSJ4 without Neva’s help.

Dragon Ball: Does DAIMA Need A Second Season?

Dragon Ball Daima was a great new addition to the franchise, but many feel that the story should be told in only one season!

Vegeta was in the same boat as Goku after being turned into a kid. He was still strong in his SSJ3 form but not as strong as he could have been in his adult body. Adult Vegeta proves that by overwhelming Gomah (for a little while) in his Super Saiyan 3 transformation, which would have been impossible for his kid version.

Hopefully, Goku’s SSJ4 form and Vegeta’s SSJ3 form (if he returns to the battlefield) will be enough to defeat Gomah. If not, then there are speculations that we might see a fusion between the two Saiyans, which means we might see Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta making his debut in the final episode of Dragon Ball Daima.
