Hilaria Baldwin will not be silenced.

The former yoga instructor and wife of Alec Baldwin recently snapped at the 30 Rock star during an awkward red carpet interview with Extra, during which she was trying to discuss how their new reality series, The Baldwins, has impacted parenting their seven children.

“Every parent knows that a routine is king, or queen. Routine is key, we’ll just say,” she joked to Alec, who offered, “Routine is essential.” Hilaria continued (but not for long), “It’s essential, it’s essential. But I think that us trying to, every day-” Alec then cut in, “What’s the word for essential in Spanish?”

Alec continued to interrupt, adding “you didn’t let me down” and “you’re so beautiful,” prompting Hilaria to stop the interview, wave her hands, and tell her husband, “You’re distracting me right now. Why? Why are you distracting me?… Oh my God you’re annoying me, stop. It’s not cute, no. He’s distracting me. I’m going to walk out of this interview.”

Hilaria was able to regain her composure after Alec briefly walked away in a good-humored gesture. “Let me go back. It’s all about routine. Every day we strive to be boring and un-boring things happen to us, as they do,” she continued. The couple carried on their conversation after the brief spat, discussing their home life, which is now under a microscope on The Baldwins.

The new TLC series premiered last month, four years after Alec fired the prop the prop gun that killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of the film Rust. The couple have faced the tragedy head-on on the show so far, with Hilaria acknowledging, “This is never something to forget and we’re trying to parent through it,” and Alec opening up about his struggle with PTSD after the shooting.

“My good friend said to me the other day, he said, ‘How are you doing?’ and I said, ‘I’m happier when I’m asleep than when I’m awake,'” Alec revealed on one episode.

The couple met at a New York restaurant in 2011 and were married the following year. In addition to Ireland Baldwin, whom Alec fathered with ex-wife Kim Basinger in 1995, the couple have welcomed seven children: Carmen Gabriela, 11, Rafael Thomas, 9, Leonardo Ángel Charles, 8, Romeo Alejandro David, 6, Eduardo Pao Lucas, 4, María Lucía Victoria, 4, and Ilaria Catalina Irena, 2.

In addition to the fallout from the Rust shooting, The Badwins have also used The Baldwins to address the controversy over Hilaria’s Spanish accent. She admitted that the backlash to what she calls her “code switching” between accented and non-accented speech “put me in dark places.” But she said others in her bilingual community possess “a mix of all of these different things and that’s gonna have an impact on how we sound and how we articulate things. That’s normal. That’s called being human.”
