Photo Mode is one of the many features that many gamers love to make use of. Assassin’s Creed Shadows also features such a mode, and this allows players to take all manner of pictures of themselves visiting some of the beautiful vistas in the game.

What’s more, other players that are online will be able to see these pictures appear while they are checking their maps. This will give these players the chance to like these photos, and encourage them to take some interesting pictures of their own. It is always a great call for developers to pack interesting ideas into their photo modes.

How to Use Photo Mode in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Different systems will activate Photo Mode in different ways. By default, it can be activated by pressing down on both analog sticks of the controller, or by pressing F3 on the PC. Once the player has activated Photo Mode, the rest of the game will be frozen in time. Players can then move the game’s camera where they want it, and even tilt its angle.

Photo Mode allows you to capture high-quality shots of beautiful views or interesting moments in-game without the user interface in the way.

Players will also be able to zoom in and out to capture positions they normally cannot achieve while playing the game normally. There are four tabs displayed once a player activates Photo Mode. These include Camera, Lens, Filters, and Decorations. This allows for a robust Photo Mode for fans to play around with.

Camera

Camera includes the Camera Roll, Focal Length, and Cycle Grids. This allows the camera to be tilted, zoomed in/out, and change how players see the white line grid on their screen.

Lens

Lens offers features that can change the depth of field to make images that are far away blur out. It also offers the option to turn Auto-Focus and Grain on or off.

Filters

This section will let players apply various effects to the pictures they take. This can include FX Filters that can give their pictures a black-and-white look to them, or change the environment to resemble that of being in an Animus. Players can manually change their Brightness, Exposure, Temperature, Tint, Saturation, Contrast, or use the dedicated Filters section to adjust these settings to various preset options — such as Cold or Warm.

Decorations

The Decorations section gives players plenty of stickers to play with. These sticks can be moved around, rotated, and have their size changed. Players can also give their pictures different frames, and change the overall visual stylings targeting the picture.

Play around with all the different features before trying to take your pictures, you can reset all these settings at any time. This will help give you a feel for Photo Mode and improve your photo taking game.

How to Put Pictures on the Game Map in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Assassin’s Creed Shadows will automatically display a selection of pictures taken through Photo Mode to be featured on the maps of players who have an active online connection. Players will be able to see the pictures taken by their friends, and pictures taken by other players not on their friends lists.

The Assassin’s Creed games have experimented with numerous multiplayer ideas and social mechanics over the years, and being able to see pics other players have taken each time they open the map is something many will enjoy.
