When planning a trip I tend to be a “yes” person, agreeing to experiences that might sound a bit… out there to others. Just a few examples include traveling across the world to Taiwan with a group of total strangers, paddle-boarding for the first time ever in Hawaii, and snowmobiling on a glacier in Iceland. So when I was recently offered the chance to visit the Disney Parks the day before embarking on a Disney Cruise, I knew I had to embrace the rare opportunity. Park Hopper tickets in tow, my friends and I booked a 7:00 am flight from New York to Orlando on a mission to explore the three of Disney’s theme parks in less than 24 hours.

I knew this jam-packed itinerary could only be pulled off with a good pair of walking shoes on deck. Without hesitation, I reached for my Adidas Grand Court sneakers to wear to the airport and theme parks — and I’m so glad I brought these comfortable shoes along for the ride.

I first discovered these sneakers about five years ago when I was looking for a pair that combined comfort and style — and they’ve been in constant rotation in my travel wardrobe ever since, accompanying me on countless getaways. The main reason I find myself packing these sneakers so often is due to their look; I prefer wearing dresses and skirts when I travel, and these Adidas tennis shoes match my casual outfits better than sportier options.

Constructed with slim faux leather uppers, grippy rubber outsoles, and Adidas logos throughout, these sneakers are both fashion-forward and high quality. They currently come in 27 styles, most of which include a neutral white base and colored stripes (I can’t help but lust over the metallic and cheetah print options, personally).

Now, as a native New Yorker who walks an average of 10,000 steps a day, sneakers don’t last very long in my wardrobe. I’m notorious for being hard on my feet and opt to walk instead of taking public transport whenever possible, so durability and support are a non-negotiable for me. I love that these sneakers are constructed with Adidas’ signature Cloudfoam lining, which provides extra cushioning under your heel and arch, plus cushioned heel collars to prevent ankle blisters. Plus, the upper is designed to be lightweight and breathable, adding to their overall comfort.

I may have owned these shoes for years, but my Disney trip put them to the ultimate test. I first slipped them on around 4:30 am to head to the airport. By the time we finally checked into Disney’s Contemporary Resort around 11:00 am, my feet still felt great.

I changed out of my travel sweats into a linen Reformation dress before setting off for the parks, and I can confidently say that these versatile sneakers complimented both outfits. From there, I continued to be on my feet for the rest of the day. My friends and I first walked around the world at Epcot, then stood in long, winding ride lines at Magic Kingdom. Next, we wandered around Hollywood Studios and even had time to check out Disney Springs after our full day of park hopping. By the time we got back to our hotel at 11:00 pm, my total step count was just under 26,000 steps.

The next morning, while waiting in line to board our cruise ship, the Disney Treasure, one of my friends asked the other group members if their feet hurt as much as theirs did.I realized that mine didn’t hurt at all — my trusted Adidas sneakers kept me comfortable and supported through a marathon of a day. Only my hamstrings felt slightly sore, and that pain was quickly forgotten as the day carried on.

Unsurprisingly, I’m not the only fan of Adidas Grand Court 2.0. They have over 2,600 five-star ratings on Amazon alone, with shoppers praising their comfort, classic style, and quality. “The foam in them is so comfortable,” wrote one shopper who works on their feet all day, adding that they experience “no pain at all” after a long shift.

Another reviewer even called these sneakers “the perfect shoes to wear when you travel,” noting that there was “no need to break them in” while on a trip to Europe. Another Europe-trekking traveler says that they wore them on a two-week trip to Scotland, calling them “so comfortable and easy” and “held up really well” despite the damp weather.

Trust me: You won’t regret adding these sneakers to your cart before your next trip. But if you’re still hunting for a style that will match everything in your suitcase, read on for more options we love.
