Integrated Dealer Systems (IDS), a software solutions provider for RV, marine, and trailer dealerships, has partnered with Forest River, Inc. to introduce a new Open Recalls integration.
The feature aims to streamline the process of accessing OEM recall information by integrating it directly within the IDS Dealership Management System (DMS).
The integration is designed to improve efficiency by eliminating the need for dealers to navigate between OEM portals and their DMS.
With instant alerts for open recalls during inventory stocking and work order creation, the system simplifies operations and enhances transparency.
“This integration represents a major milestone for IDS and our dealers,” said Frank Tamburrini, general manager of IDS.
“By creating seamless connections between OEMs and dealerships, we’re not just enhancing efficiency; we’re laying the foundation for a fully connected dealership ecosystem that drives success across the industry.”
According to a press release, the collaboration is also expected to strengthen the relationship between dealers and manufacturers, enabling dealerships to comply more effectively with recall requirements and build customer trust.
Forest River’s CEO, Doug Gaeddert, emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting its dealer network through this partnership.
“While it might seem basic, one of the most important goals for Forest River is to be our Dealer Network’s ‘Best Partner,’” said Gaeddert.
“The collaboration and resulting partnership we’ve formed with IDS is the most recent step. We will continue to develop data and systems integration solutions for the benefit of our mutual customers and the overall industry.”
IDS views this feature as the first in a series of planned OEM integrations, reflecting its broader commitment to providing innovative solutions that drive dealership success.
By facilitating direct access to critical recall data, IDS and Forest River aim to set a new standard for operational efficiency and transparency in the RV and trailer dealership sector.
