İncesu Caravan Park and Tent Camping Center is set to open in Samsun, expanding the region’s offerings for outdoor tourism.
Developed by the Samsun Metropolitan Municipality as part of its efforts to enhance the city’s tourism potential, the facility will soon welcome visitors at the start of the season.
The new site is expected to attract both domestic and international travelers, adding to Samsun’s growing reputation as a destination for caravan and camping tourism, as reported by Railly News.
Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Halit Doğan emphasized the significance of the project, highlighting its role in the city’s tourism strategy.
“The landscaping and infrastructure works of our İncesu Caravan Park have been completed; we have prepared every detail considering the comfort of our guests,” he said.
“With our İncesu Caravan Park, we are increasing the number of our caravan parks to five. I wish it to be beneficial and auspicious for our city and our fellow citizens.”
The park, situated on a 5,000-square-meter site, has been designed to provide a well-equipped environment for caravan travelers and tent campers. It features an 18-vehicle caravan park, 10 tent camping areas, a 15-vehicle parking lot, and various amenities such as service buildings, gazebos, and fountains.
Additionally, efforts have been made to integrate green spaces, with the planting of trees and bushes to enhance the ecological and aesthetic value of the site.
For business owners and operators in the outdoor hospitality sector, the expansion of caravan park infrastructure in Samsun signals growing interest in the caravan and camping market.
Industry professionals may find opportunities in the region as demand for camping and caravan-friendly amenities continues to rise.
Samsun’s local government has positioned the city as an emerging hub for caravan tourism, with the İncesu Caravan Park complementing existing facilities in Canik, Atakum, Terme, and 19 Mayıs.
By increasing capacity and diversifying camping options, the municipality aims to strengthen its role in the tourism sector.
Mayor Doğan reaffirmed this commitment, stating, “With this project, which will further strengthen the place of Samsun in the tourism field, we will also make significant contributions to the regional economy.”
With the opening of the İncesu facility, caravan tourism operators, campground owners, and hospitality businesses in the area may see increased visitor traffic and economic activity, reinforcing the role of outdoor tourism as a key driver of local development.
