JEE Main 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has allowed extra time for applicants to upload their photographs on the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 application forms as per the required specifications after it found some discrepancies. The agency has given time till January 17 up to 11:50 pm to upload the correct photograph.
“It has been observed that the photograph uploaded by few candidates for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) 2025 (Session 1) has not been found as per the required specifications,” reads the official notice. JEE Main 2025 applicants who are required to upload their photographs have been informed by the agency via email and SMS on their mobile numbers. To avoid rejection, these candidates need to log in using their credentials and click on the link to upload a new photograph, the notice added.
JEE Main 2025: Required Specifications To Upload Photograph
— Passport size Photograph should be between 10 kb to 300 kb.
— The recent photograph should be in colour with 80% face (without mask) visible including ears against a white background.
— The photograph should be named as ‘Photograph’ and in JPG/JPEG format (clearly legible).
— Spectacles are allowed only if being used regularly.
— Polaroid and computer-generated photos are not acceptable.
— Applications not complying with these instructions or with unclear photographs are liable to be rejected.
— Application without photographs as per the specification given above will be rejected.

— Candidates may note that if the photographs uploaded are found to be fabricated, i.e., de-shaped or seem to be hand-made or computer-made, the application of the candidate will be rejected and the same would be considered as using Unfair Means and the candidate would be dealt with accordingly, read the notification.
The NTA is expected to release the JEE Main 2025 Admit Cards soon. The session 1 exam will be held on January 22, 23, 24, 28, 29, and 30, 2025. The admit cards will be issued three days before the exam.
