Jennifer Coolidge hopes The White Lotus character Greg never checks out of the Thailand resort.

The actress gave her review of the HBO series’s third season in an interview with Forbes published Thursday. Coolidge played Tanya, a guest of the upscale resort chain’s Hawaii property in the first season, and in season 2, she visited Sicily. Tanya died after being conned by her husband, Greg (played by actor Jon Gries), and falling off a yacht in last season’s finale of the Mike White-created dramedy. Shady Greg, however, survived the finale and is now vacationing under a different name.

“As you know, [actor] Jon Gries has shown up,” Coolidge said. “I hope he gets it! I hope they do something terrible to him.”

Her early review of the show’s new episodes, which premiered Feb. 16, is positive.

“It’s really eerie — you’re not quite sure what people are up to yet,” Coolidge siad. “My guess? Something’s going to go horribly wrong. I think it’s really going to go wrong. Mike White, he wants us to have it all, I think. I can’t wait.”

Already, Natasha Rothwell‘s character, Belinda, a friend of Tanya’s, appeared to recognize the man she knew as Greg, but the season is still young, and it’s unclear what will happen next.

Coolidge won back-to-back Emmys for her role as Tanya, and she inspired countless memes along the way. “These gays, they’re trying to murder me,” in Coolidge’s signature whine, is burned into the brains of viewers. In a twist, the men who had planned to kill Tanya were taken down by her in the second season finale, only for her to slip and hit her head while jumping from a boat onto a dinghy during her intended escape.

In January 2023, she told Gold Derby that she thought it was “hilarious” her line had been such a hit: “I have to say, that’s the ultimate compliment.”

She also addressed it in a February 2024 interview for Variety‘s Actors on Actors series.

“Mike was very confident about Tanya being pursued by this seemingly…you know, friendly gays that seem to be friends of hers,” Coolidge told The Bear star Jeremy Allen White. “And then Mike is, like, ‘You realize…we don’t see gay men as being evil. They’re not portrayed like that. This is a bad group.’ And he goes, ‘I think people will like to see this.”

When Coolidge won her second Emmy for playing Tanya, she jokingly thanked “all the evil gays” for helping her win the award.
