Jubilee Park Woodhall Spa Ltd has submitted a planning application to install a dome structure at its holiday park in Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire.

The proposal, under review by East Lindsey District Council, outlines plans for a 12-meter-wide and six-meter-tall NEO 12 event dome from TruDomes, a UK-based manufacturer.

If approved, the dome will be situated near the park’s swimming pool and serve as a venue for leisure, health, and wellbeing activities, according to a report by Lincolnshire World.

The dome will be built with a reinforced concrete base and will include a white cover, insulation kit, wooden door, PVC floor membrane, and three mesh vents.

The estimated cost for the structure is approximately £34,950. TruDomes, which introduced its first dome at The Glamping Show in 2017, offers a range of products designed for glamping, dining, retreats, and events.

For outdoor hospitality businesses, investments in multipurpose structures like event domes offer opportunities to expand services and increase year-round revenue.

Weather-resistant enclosures can enhance guest experiences by providing sheltered spaces for events, wellness programs, or additional dining areas.

As more parks look to diversify offerings, adaptable structures can be a cost-effective way to attract new visitors and provide added value to existing customers.

The growing interest in glamping and alternative accommodations has driven demand for innovative structures that balance aesthetics with functionality.

“The addition of the dome aligns with our commitment to enhancing the visitor experience by providing versatile spaces for a range of activities,” a representative from Jubilee Park Woodhall Spa Ltd noted in the planning documents.

TruDomes’ continued expansion within the outdoor hospitality sector reflects a broader trend of parks and resorts investing in semi-permanent structures.

For operators, the ability to incorporate such facilities can contribute to long-term profitability and guest satisfaction, making properties more attractive in a competitive market.
