Kampgrounds of America (KOA) congratulates Investorade, a Dallas-based real estate investment firm focused on campgrounds, recreational vehicles, and manufactured housing, on its acquisition of the Elk City/Clinton KOA Journey.

The campground’s new owners, Blaz Korosec and Blake DeWitt, bring a deep passion for outdoor hospitality and a dedication to enhancing the guest experience.

Korosec and DeWitt bring extensive experience in outdoor hospitality and property management. As founders of Investorade, a real estate investment firm specializing in campgrounds and recreational vehicle properties, their expertise promises to enhance the guest experience.

“Taking ownership of the Elk City/Clinton KOA Journey is an incredible opportunity for us to create memorable experiences for campers,” Korosec said.

The Elk City/Clinton KOA Journey offers a range of amenities, including spacious RV sites, a KampK9 park, and a swimming pool.

The campground also features the Moose Knuckle Tavern, which will soon expand its offerings, including a wider selection of microbrews and a revamped menu with pizzas, hamburgers, and more.

Looking to the future, Korosec and DeWitt have outlined a six-month renovation plan aimed at upgrading the campground’s cabins and facilities. The improvements will be scheduled to minimize disruptions during peak times, ensuring visitors can enjoy their stay.

Campgrounds like Elk City/Clinton KOA Journey play an important role in supporting local economies. KOA’s annual report reveals that the average camper spends $156 per day, contributing to the economic vitality of the surrounding region.

Additionally, 30% of campers are attracted to small towns, with another 30% citing food tourism as a key motivator.

The Elk City/Clinton KOA Journey is one of more than 500 KOA campgrounds across the U.S. and Canada.
