Kelsea Ballerini is apologizing to fans after ending a recent concert early and postponing a few future dates due to illness.
The singer, who is in the middle of her Kelsea Ballerini Live Tour, shared on her Instagram StoriesThursday that her Buffalo show earlier that evening had to be cut short because she wasn’t feeling well.
“Buffalo, I am so so sorry that I could not finish the show tonight,” she said in the video. “I am sicker than I am trying to be and I did not want to let anyone down tonight.”
The “Love Me Like You Mean It” singer explained that she got through the first songs but then “couldn’t do it,” and apologized because she never wants to give fans “a half-assed show.” She added that the Buffalo date, as well as subsequent stops in Pittsburgh and Toronto, would be postponed and rescheduled while she rests up.

“I will make them the best shows I’ve ever played in my whole life,” Ballerini continued. “I will put out every stop for you and I will make it so worth it. I’m gonna go rest now and get better so I can really show up for the rest of this tour.”
She added, “I hope you understand. Thank you for the grace to be human and I love you.”

In a subsequent post on her Instagram stories, Ballerini revealed the rescheduled dates of April 11, 12, and 13 for Buffalo, Pittsburgh, and Toronto, respectively. She then shared her appropriately titled song “Doin’ My Best” and a separate photo of her lying in bed cuddling a pillow with her dog’s face on it. She captioned it, “Also to the sweet fan who made this pillow tonight, I can’t even tell you how much I needed this and what it means. Thank you. I love and appreciate y’all. see you in a few days.”
It appears as though Ballerini has been battling her illness for several days. At her Detroit concert on Feb. 4, videos shared from attendees on TikTok show the crowd helping her get through her song “Penthouse.”
