Kimberley – The Caravan & Motorhome People has expanded its team with three new hires as part of its strategic growth in the Midlands.

The company, a well-established caravan and motorhome dealership, is preparing for the opening of its Chesterfield branch and reinforcing its operations to support increased demand.

According to a report by Insider Media, John Ivell and Andrew Brown will be joining the Chesterfield location as operations manager and sales manager, respectively.

While awaiting the site’s opening later in 2021, they are currently based at Kimberley’s Nottinghamshire location, working alongside Richard Weston, the new workshop and aftercare development manager.

Collectively, they bring nearly six decades of experience in the leisure and motor trade industries.

Ivell has played a key role in the development of the Chesterfield site and has extensive industry experience from South Yorkshire Caravans, Lowdham Leisureworld, and Marquis.

Brown, who has spent 29 years in the motoring trade, has managed sales departments for multiple dealerships. Weston, previously with Brownhills Motorhomes for over two decades, led a team of 58 staff in his role as workshop manager.

Chris Lowe, director at Kimberley, expressed confidence in the new appointments. “As individuals, their credentials speak for themselves, so we’re confident that our upcoming expansion in the Midlands will only be bolstered by their arrival,” he said.

“With our new Chesterfield site awaiting planning permission and our exclusive 2022 model range due to release in the coming months, we are set to get busier still before the new year period gives us an opportunity to have a much-deserved break.”

The expansion signals Kimberley’s commitment to strengthening its presence in the region while ensuring a high level of service.

Business owners in the outdoor hospitality and caravan industry can look at this as an indicator of growing market opportunities.

Investments in new locations and experienced personnel suggest that demand for caravans and motorhomes remains strong, creating potential for partnerships, supplier agreements, and expanded service offerings.

Kimberley, which started in the 1970s, has grown into one of the UK’s leading caravan and motorhome dealerships

With locations in Nottingham and Darlington, the company has continuously expanded through strategic acquisitions and infrastructure investments.

Its upcoming Chesterfield site aims to enhance accessibility and service options for customers in the Midlands, reinforcing its position in the industry.
