The Kindlund family has increased its endowment contribution to the Mike Molino RV Learning Center’s Kindlund Family College Scholarship Program, raising the fund to $370,000.

The scholarship program, which supports rising college sophomores, juniors, and seniors with connections to the RV industry, aims to ease financial burdens and encourage careers in this growing sector.

Since its inception in 2000, the scholarship initiative has awarded $82,500 in funds to 33 students. The program prioritizes applicants with RV industry ties and evaluates them based on academic performance, extracurricular involvement, financial need, and a personal essay outlining career goals. The additional funding aims to sustain these awards for future students seeking a pathway into the industry.

“We are pleased to add additional funding to the scholarship endowment that will ensure that this program can continue to help students connected to the RV business to pursue rewarding careers,” Newt Kindlund said in a press release.

Newt Kindlund co-founded Holiday RV Superstores, the first publicly traded RV dealership in the United States. Today, Kindlund serves as a director emeritus on the RV Learning Center Board of Directors and holds a place in the RV/MH Hall of Fame.

Phil Ingrassia, president of the RV Dealers Association (RVDA), also praised the Kindlund family’s ongoing support. “By funding this scholarship program, Newt Kindlund continues to demonstrate his commitment to the RV industry in a very meaningful way,” Ingrassia said.
