Even Kristin Davis had her limits on Sex and the City!

In a recent episode of her Are You a Charlotte? podcast, Kristin Davis opened up about a Sex and the City storyline she despised. She revealed how she “hated” the plot where she and Evan Handler — who played her character Charlotte’s second husband Harry in the show about four friends finding love in the Big Apple — end up on the bathroom floor after what was meant to be a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner.

“I just hated that storyline so much,” Davis admitted. “I went to Elisa Zuritsky and Julia Rottenberg [the writers of the episode] and said, “Please, do we have to do this? Why?”

During the episode from the series’ sixth and final season, titled “The Ick Factor,” Harry orders an extravagant cart of French cheeses in an attempt to impress Charlotte. But after their date, instead of continuing their night of romance at home, the couple winds up with food poisoning caused by the fancy fromage.

Davis recalled the writers’ response during the podcast: “They were like, ‘It’s so funny.’ I think it was based on a story where someone went to France and had a similar experience with their decadent cheeses, which we’re not used to here.”

However, Davis wasn’t feeling the cheesy plotline.

“I didn’t like that. I didn’t want to lay on the floor of the bathroom with Evan in stained T-shirts,” the And Just Like That star explained. “Ick.”

Likening it to a similar scene in Sex and the City: The Movie, Davis said, “This is second to what [series creator] Michael [Patrick King] put me through in Mexico in the water, which I’m not going to go into detail [about] because everyone knows!”

For those who don’t know, Davis was referring to the moment when Charlotte is having tummy issues in Mexico with the girls, who all head south of the border with Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) after her wedding to Mr. Big (Chris Noth) is called off,

Davis joked, “I still have to talk about the [Charlotte pooping in her pants scene] in interviews. And I’m like, ‘Thank you, Michael Patrick King, for doing this to me!”
