Southtown’s Michelin-starred Mixtli, is up for Outstanding Hospitality, and Emil Oliva of Leche de Tigre is up for Best Chef: Texas.
An awards committee of industry volunteers, food writers and judges selects semifinalists, finalists and winners. Finalists were announced just after noon on Wednesday. Winners will be announced on June 16.
San Antonio had six semifinalists for Best Chef: Texas, the most of any city in the state, in addition to the Outstanding Hospitality nomination for Mixtli.
