Lightspeed DMS introduced expanded Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) decoding capabilities for Heartland RV, Cruiser RV, and DRV, the company announced.
The enhancement enables RV dealers using Lightspeed’s dealership management software to automatically import vehicle specifications by entering a VIN, eliminating manual input.
The new functionality allows users to quickly access essential unit details, improving operational efficiency and data accuracy within the Lightspeed DMS platform. The update is designed to reduce time spent on data entry while supporting sales and service departments.
“Our focus at Lightspeed is to make day-to-day processes easier for dealers,” Jeremy Johnson, associate director, OEM Business Development for Lightspeed, said in a press release.
“This new integration is big news for us and our customers because it expands Thor brand integrations within Lightspeed DMS, helping dealers and service technicians work more efficiently,” Johnson added.
Heartland RV, one of the participating manufacturers in the integration, welcomed the update. “What a great way to kick off 2025 with our dealers with helping them be more efficient in their day-to-day activities which will give them more time to spend with customers selling our great line of products,” said Kyle Kwasny, President of Heartland RV.
Lightspeed’s latest integration is part of its broader strategy to support RV dealerships with tools that enhance workflow and customer service. The software already offers various OEM integrations aimed at improving dealer processes.
“This is just the beginning,” added Johnson. “Lightspeed DMS is committed to bringing more enhancements and integrations to the RV industry, ensuring dealers have the best tools to succeed.”
