Warning: This article contains spoilers about the Love Is Blind season 8 reunion.
For what was one of the more lackluster installments of Love Is Blind yet, Sunday’s season 8 reunion still managed to bring its fair share of drama.
Hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey once again moderated the festivities on Netflix that saw the return of former couples Dave and Lauren, Virginia and Devin, Monica and Joey, Sara and Ben, and Taylor and Daniel, the only pair to say “I do” on their wedding day. Other members of the Minnesota season “pod squad” who also joined the reunion were Dave’s ex and Team Lauren supporter Molly, as well as wild child artist Madison and her one-time suitors, Alex and Mason, plus Meg, who, last we saw, had rekindled things with her fellow conspiracy theory lover Mason post-pod.
But where does everything stand now with the mostly still-singles? Follow along below for the biggest bombs dropped at the Love Is Blind season 8 reunion.

The Honeymoon’s Not Over
A year after being the only Love Is Blind season 8 couple to tie the knot, Taylor and Daniel said they are still going strong. Daniel revealed he has not yet fulfilled his promise to get a lip tattoo to match his bride’s, but he did show off a sizable rendition of Taylor’s eyes inked on his chest.
Ghosts of Fiances Past
Virginia shared that although she really did love Devin, they did not align on values. She said she was not comfortable sharing Devin’s views for him, but she felt comfortable sharing her own. “I 100 percent support the LGBTQ community,” she said. “I also believe that women should have the decision to choose if they want to have an abortion or not. I also believe that different religions should be valued.” Still not confirming his own stance, Devin just said that as a Christian, he believes in loving everyone.
Virginia also revealed that the night before their ceremony, she found a note on his nightstand from Devin’s ex, whom Devin insisted he only sees as a friend. The pair debated their relationship post-wedding, not agreeing on who did or did not ghost whom. “I haven’t felt love or respect in the last year,” Virginia noted.

Tick Tock…
Ben insisted that he really had no idea what his church’s stance on gay marriage was when they discussed it, saying, “I didn’t ever need to know because there really wasn’t really anyone in my life that it really pertained to.”
Sara then explained they lived together for a week or two after their failed wedding while trying to figure things out, but Ben didn’t go through with their plan to stay in Nashville together afterward, leaving her with only a “scripted apology” and advice he said he got from a past cast member that they should get on good terms and practice reunion questions together. (It was later revealed the advice-giver was season 6’s Jimmy.) Sara said all this left her feeling “love-bombed” by Ben, who she does not feel was authentic during their relationship, and that it validated the claims from that TikTok someone posted about Ben not being a stand-up guy. “Knowing what I know about Ben, a TikTok like that makes sense,” Sara stated. “I’m not surprised.”

I Love You Nots
Monica realized she and Joey never said “I love you” and watching the show back was an embarrassing “slap in the face” because she did not feel that Joey was ever into her. Joey agreed it never felt like they could get out of the friend zone, which he blamed on Monica’s sister for never accepting him.
Monica also said she’s been “hearing a lot” about Joey’s bad behavior during their relationship, including claims that he slid into another cast member’s DMs before their wedding. Joey said he “reached out to a few people after” to check in on some good connections, including Madison, but that it was platonic. Madison said they only had a “friendship vibe,” but that he messaged her after she showed up to the party in the last batch of episodes, complimented her pink hair, and said he wished they had talked more. After Nick got Joey to admit that wasn’t the most appropriate message for a nearly-married man, Monica and Madison also called Joey out for lying to both of them that Madison had been hitting on him. “Now I am feeling gaslit, like I made it up,” Monica said. Joey blamed it on Monica seeming threatened by his “relationship” with Madison, which Madison insisted they never had after he proposed to his now-ex.

Hanging Up on the Hook-Up
Dave disclosed that his oft-mentioned sister has watched the show and “struggled watching it, seeing how hurt Lauren was and how hard it was for her to go through that.” Lauren said watching the show back, she learned how much more “emotional maturity” she has over Dave, which he called “fair to say.” The exes said they have been in contact in recent weeks with Dave finally apologizing for making a big deal about the guy who Lauren had casually hooked up with before filming, whom Dave noted has “leeched onto the situation” and he no longer believes.
Dave said he “absolutely” regrets believing the man’s lies and he “absolutely” considers Lauren the one who got away, which Lauren said she doesn’t totally believe since he has not mentioned that any of the times they ran into each other after the show. Meanwhile, Lauren clarified that she does not believe Dave is a “narcissist or a manipulator,” despite not wanting to enter into a relationship again.
M&M Drama
Meg and Mason confirmed they tried dating a couple times over the last year, but are now just “best friends” who want each other in their lives. “I feel like I got the best situation from having Meg in my life and I don’t know what I’d do without you,” he said, beaming at his new bestie.
Madison said she agreed Mason and Meg were a better watch than she had been for her former pod boyfriend. Speaking of her exes, Alex said watching back, it was “crazy to see how different” Madison had been on dates with him and with Mason. Madison called it “really normal” to have different experiences with different people, but Meg called Madison out for contradicting herself after recently claiming Mason had been manipulative. Madison said she had felt a little manipulated by Mason’s reactions to her in the pods, while Mason said he was flattered she thought he was smart enough to be that calculated and did not feel that she’d treated him very well.

Madison said Alex was a “completely different person on and off camera” and had turned on Mason when the cameras were off, saying the other man had no friends. Alex said this made “no sense,” which prompted Madison to pull out of her dress a printout of Alex’s messages to her about Mason. “All the boys trust me with their secrets, also Meg and Mason met up and are going to start dating I think,” she read, showing the screenshot to the camera. “And they wore their first-impression outfits when they met up (three skull emojis,” she continued reading.
“That doesn’t sound like a friend,” Madison said, calling Alex a liar. Meg used this as evidence that Madison had also lied about who broke up with whom, but Madison asked why she was defending Alex when “he talks shit about you openly.”
A Home for the Holidays
Santa stan Daniel said his first Christmas with Taylor as a married couple was great, but that his mother was diagnosed with a form of leukemia and is preparing for a bone marrow transplant. Despite the challenge, it’s brought their families even closer, with Daniel’s dad staying with Taylor’s brother during the treatments. “It’s just been a full-circle moment,” Taylor said, revealing the couple just bought their first home.
A Surprise Proposal!
Finally, AD from Love Is Blind season 6 joined the dais with her new beau, Love Is Blind U.K.‘s Ollie, to announce they are on season 3 of Perfect Match, coming to Netflix later this summer. But that wasn’t all. A clip of their promo showed Ollie proposing to AD on the beach, and she said yes! Vanessa asked if this meant the couple won the reality dating show, but they stayed mum on that.
Lastly, it was announced that Love Is Blind season 9 will take place in Denver. Until then, Love Is Blind seasons 1-8 are streaming in full on Netflix.
