Arguably the most powerful member of the Fantastic Four, Susan Storm-Richards/Invisible Woman will make her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut this July. Before that happens, Marvel Comics will spotlight her incredible light-bending powers across ten new Invisible! Variant Covers, which will grace its most popular titles throughout March.

Marvel‘s Invisible! Variant Covers, drawn by some of the publisher’s top artists, features Sue Storm unleashing her formidable powers of invisibility and impenetrable force fields, resourcefully applying them in battle alongside several other iconic Marvel heroes. Edwin Galmon’s Immortal Thor #21, Nicoletta Baldari’s Spider-Boy #17, and David Baldeon’s Wolverine #7 Invisible! Variant Covers will arrive on March 5. Amanda Conner’s Amazing Spider-Man #69, Todd Nauck’s Deadpool #12, Andrei Bressan’s Hellverine #4, and Elizabeth Torque’s Iron Man #6 variant covers will hit stands on March 12. Roge Antonio’s Eddie Brock: Carnage #2 and Frany’s Miles Morales Spider-Man #31 variant covers debut on March 19, while Greg Land’s Red Hulk #2 variant cover closes out the month on March 26.

Invisible! Variant Covers

The Invisible! Variant Covers will continue a monumental year for Marvel’s First Family, following the recent debut of The Fantastic Four: First Steps‘ inaugural trailer. The hotly-anticipated Marvel Studios film will star The Crown and Mission: Impossible‘s Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, making her the third actor to portray the character on the big screen after Jessica Alba and Kate Mara.

Kirby discussed her love for Invisible Woman and her comic book source material while Fantastic Four: First Steps was still filming. “I just came from set,” she said. “I’m flying back tonight in about two hours to go back onto set. It’s quite surreal. I’m loving [Sue]. I love her so much. I love her in the comics. I’m honored to play her.”

Sue and the rest of the Fantastic Four are also a major part of Marvel’s cataclysmic One World Under Doom event that will impact virtually all of its ongoing titles and launch a variety of tie-ins and limited series. March’s Fantastic Four #30 will see the team become the Fantastic Three, with Doom’s control of the world ensuring a continued downturn in fortune as they are again whittled down to The Fantastic Two in April’s Fantastic Four #31.

Marvel’s Fantastic Four #31 description reads, “FANTASTIC TWO! As Ben recovers from what Doom has done to him, The Fantastic Four learn they’re losing their powers at the one time they need them the most desperately! If they can’t reverse the effect, they may be lost forever – and Doom will be unstoppable. But the family has an idea of how to get them back – and to do it safely.”

Marvel’s Invisible! Variant Covers, spotlighting Sue Storm’s powers, will grace several of the publisher’s titles throughout March.
