Ger Glamping, a Mongolia-based company, has introduced a line of tents inspired by the country’s traditional ger, offering a durable and transportable shelter solution for outdoor hospitality operators.

Designed to withstand extreme weather conditions, the company’s products aim to bring centuries-old nomadic living concepts to the modern glamping market.

The concept for Ger Glamping’s tents originated during a 2017 trip when founder and executive director Bayarsaikhan S. and his team faced severe weather that collapsed their standard camping tent.

Seeking refuge in a nearby herder’s ger, they were struck by its resilience against strong winds and heavy rain.

Inspired by the structure’s stability, they sought to develop a product that combined the durability of a Mongolian ger with the convenience of modern glamping accommodations.

“Our company is going to bring to you a Mongolian home, a wonderful home for nomads, by incorporating innovation to meet the demands of modern consumers, making it more comfortable, easy to build, resistant to natural hazards, and a luxurious product,” said Bayarsaikhan.

Among Ger Glamping’s offerings are the GerTent 4m and the ToviTent 6m. The GerTent, with a 4-meter diameter, features an aluminum frame, cocoon insulation, and a polycotton canvas exterior.

It is designed for quick assembly, allowing a single person to set it up without the need for ropes. The larger ToviTent, modeled after 13th-century Mongolian royal gers, has a 6-meter diameter and incorporates a steel frame for enhanced stability.

Both tents are insulated for year-round use and can accommodate multiple guests, making them well-suited for glamping businesses looking to offer unique, weather-resistant accommodations.

Beyond aesthetics, these structures address key operational challenges in the glamping sector. Their modular design allows for quick deployment, reducing labor costs and setup times, while their insulation and durable framework provide a comfortable guest experience in varying climates.

The ability to withstand heavy rain, snow, and wind also ensures longevity, making them a viable investment for outdoor hospitality businesses.

Ger Glamping’s focus on blending traditional architecture with modern convenience reflects a growing trend in the glamping industry—one that values sustainability, cultural heritage, and guest comfort.

“We have made it possible to be comfortable anywhere in the world and under any conditions,” Bayarsaikhan stated on the website.

As interest in unique and resilient accommodations continues to grow, Ger Glamping’s offerings may appeal to operators looking for distinctive, durable structures that stand out in the expanding luxury outdoor hospitality market.
