Kampgrounds of America (KOA) announced a significant expansion at the Nashville KOA Resort through its merger with the Nashville RV Resort and Cabins.

The merger, set to be completed by early 2025, will add 200 RV sites, 16 Deluxe Cabins, four rustic camping cabins, and 18 tent sites, including a group tent campsite. This expansion will increase the campground’s capacity to 536 sites, enhancing its ability to accommodate a growing number of visitors to the area.

This development also introduces KOA’s Signature Sites to the Nashville KOA Resort. These luxury RV sites will feature a KOA Patio, an enclosed Paw Pen for pets, a covered pavilion, and an entertainment space equipped with a television and an outdoor cooking area. With designs inspired by the cultural essence of Music City, these sites aim to provide a premium camping experience while reflecting Nashville’s unique identity.

“By merging the Nashville RV Resort and Cabins with our popular Nashville KOA Resort, we’re thrilled to increase our capacity and welcome more campers to Music City,” said Jill Currier, senior vice president of OAK operations at KOA.

“This merger makes Nashville KOA Resort one of the largest KOA campgrounds in the country. Our new Signature Sites, designed with our Nashville campers in mind, are state-of-the-art and will influence the development of similar unique and amenity-rich Signature Sites across our system,” Currier added.

The addition of these Signature Sites aligns with KOA’s strategy to elevate camping options and meet the growing demand for upscale outdoor experiences. According to KOA’s annual Camping and Outdoor Hospitality Report, the average camper spends $156 daily while traveling. With many campers expressing interest in exploring small towns and engaging in food tourism, the Nashville KOA Resort’s expanded offerings are expected to draw more visitors to the region.

According to a press release, the Nashville KOA Resort is known for its comprehensive amenities, which include nearly daily live music performances, the Notes Café for meals and refreshments, and a shuttle service to downtown Nashville.

Guests can also take advantage of a year-round heated pool, hot tub, rental bicycles, and golf carts. Two group meeting facilities, equipped with modern audiovisual technology, will accommodate events and gatherings of various sizes.

In February, the resort will debut a new café offering gourmet espresso drinks, pastries, and grab-and-go items. These additions are designed to enhance the camping experience for all guests, whether they are staying in fully equipped Deluxe Cabins, full-hookup RV sites, or the newly introduced Signature Sites.

KOA’s broader network includes KOA Journeys, designed for convenient overnight stays, and KOA Holidays, which serve as activity-filled base camps for outdoor adventures. These distinct offerings cater to a wide range of camping preferences and underscore KOA’s dedication to providing exceptional outdoor hospitality.
