JetBlue has revealed a vibrant Mario-themed plane in partnership with Nintendo. JetBlue and Nintendo have paired up to bring the Cloudtop Cruiser to the skies.

This Airbus A320 features Mario, Peach, Luigi, Bowser, Donkey Kong and Yoshi along its side. The body of the plane is a light blue and the wings, jet engines and other features are bright red. But the whimsical Nintendo fun doesn’t stop there — JetBlue stated in a press release that Mario and other Mushroom Kingdom residents will be featured on the seatback entertainment touchscreens throughout the cabin.

JetBlue’s Cloudtop Cruiser has most definitely excited the Nintendo fanbase, who likely remember JetBlue’s previous Nintendo partnership — the airline company had a Nintendo Switch On the Go pop-up and Mario meet-and-greet located in Terminal 5 at the John F. Kennedy Airport. Now, the Cloudtop Cruiser will come with more “surprise and delight” throughout the year.

It’s not entirely clear where the Cloudtop Cruiser will be arriving and departing, but JetBlue’s domestic hubs include Boston, Fort Lauderdale, Los Angeles, New York–JFK, Orlando and San Juan.

This isn’t the only video game-themed airplane to take to the skies in recent years. Skymark Airlines has two Pikachu-themed planes, the Pikachu Jet BC1 and BC2. The BC1 is yellow with Pikachu floating in the air thanks to colorful balloons and BC2 has Pikachu with Wailord and other Pokémon. ANA partnered with The Pokémon Company as well, featuring a glorious plane with all the Eeveelutions running along the body.

The Mario Cloudtop Cruiser comes at a time when the Nintendo community is anxiously awaiting more details on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.
