OHI has secured music licensing rates for 2025, offering its members significant savings on required performance licenses. The program, aimed at reducing costs for park operators, ensures compliance with U.S. Copyright Law while alleviating concerns about managing licensing agreements with performing rights organizations (PROs).
The comprehensive OHI Music License Program covers four key PROs: ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, and GMR. Licensing through these organizations provides legal coverage for businesses that play copyrighted music. By obtaining licenses from all four PROs, parks can avoid potential legal issues arising from unauthorized music use.
David Basler, OHI’s chief strategy officer, emphasized the program’s simplicity and cost-effectiveness. “Music licensing doesn’t have to be complicated or costly,” Basler said. “Our program simplifies the process while providing unmatched savings and peace of mind. We’re proud to offer our members a solution that supports their operations and protects their businesses.”
The 2025 licensing rates negotiated by OHI can reduce the financial burden for park operators. Members gain access to discounted rates. This initiative is part of OHI’s ongoing commitment to delivering benefits to its members.
“Through OHI’s Music Licensing Program, members can save significantly on licensing costs while ensuring legal coverage for using copyrighted music at their businesses,” a press release indicated.
Beyond financial savings, the program offers a practical advantage by shielding park operators from unsolicited communications from PROs. Once a park is licensed through OHI, operators are protected from unwarranted pressure from these organizations throughout the licensed calendar year.
Parks participating in OHI’s program can access their invoices for the upcoming year with ease. For those who were enrolled in the 2024 program, renewal is straightforward. Members can log in to their OHI member portal, navigate to the ‘My Invoices’ section, and complete payment for their 2025 licenses.
