April is set to be a huge month for One Piece fans with the highly anticipated return of the anime series. Brand-new One Piece episodes for Part 2 of the “Egghead” story arc will be hitting the airwaves and streaming platform Crunchyroll in just two weeks, with a new teaser trailer now released showcasing a fresh look at the action to come.
In celebration of One Piece‘s impending return in Japan and abroad, the official channel has released a new trailer starring Luffy and much of the rest of the main cast, both protagonists and villains, teasing major upcoming fights on the high seas. The initial trailer also stars the anime’s new opening theme song, “Tenshi to Akuma” (“Angels and Demons”), by all-male group GRe4N BOYZ. Anime fans may also recognize the group from theme song performances for DanMachi Season 5, The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten and Teasing Master Takagi-san Seasons 1 and 2, among others. After its six-month hiatus, announced in October 2024, One Piece will return to Crunchyroll with simulcast releases beginning on April 5 with Episode 1123. This will be immediately followed up by Episode 1124 on April 6, with new episodes then streaming once weekly. Netflix subscribers will also be kept in the loop with the same new One Piece episodes likewise coming in April, although these will begin streaming a week later on April 12.
