Original Edition Includes Short Story by Original Author

Spice of the First Star was published in Japan in November 2023, and it is written by Hajime Tanaka. It also features the short story Viewpoint B, written by Aka Akasaka himself.

The story begins when Ai Hoshino tells her agency that she wants to quit being an idol, not long after she joined B-Komachi. But the pressure and conflicts behind the scenes are too much for her, and she can’t take the burden.

There is an audiobook version available in Japanese on the official website of the series, narrated by Rie Takahashi (Ai’s voice actress in Japan):

A second novel, Futari no Etude, was released in Japan in December, and a third novel has been announced (this one will expand the manga’s finale).
