We are back with another one of other our infertility q+a podcast episodes!

As most of you know, last month we had our first Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET), which resulted in a chemical pregnancy. In this podcast episode, I go into (a lot) of detail on what our protocol was and what exactly happened — it was a weird one!

We also took the time to answer audience-submitted questions, including:

  • Did the doctor do any follow up tests/labs after your chemical?

  • You had a feeling the FET didn’t work — why?

  • What was the physical recovery like after the failed transfer?

  • Has your doctor suggested any protocol changes after the first failed transfer?

  • Are you doing a second egg retrieval to bank more embryos before trying another FET?

  • Are you still trying to conceive naturally while going through IVF?

  • How to help a friend going through this

I go into a lot of detail telling the story of our transfer in the first half of this episode, so if you want to skip ahead to the questions, I go into them starting at 27:35!

if you squint super closely, you can see the very faint positive!

As I’ve discussed before, I’ve decided to keep this intimate conversation for paid subscribers only, that way I could cultivate a safe space to chat about a very vulnerable experience. I also wanted to create space for others with similar experiences to chime in and find community.

I included a little snippet for everyone, but if you want to listen to the whole episode, consider becoming a paid supporter of “good mood food!” Don’t forget, you can always do a trial and get a week for free!

Our previous posts about our infertility and IVF experience are all saved here!

As always, thank you everyone for sharing your own stories and for your kind words of support. It means the world, and it has made this journey much more bearable.
