Several businesses and events in Vale have been recognized at the annual Visit Worcestershire Tourism Awards, highlighting the region’s contributions to the visitor economy.

Among the winners was Plum Tree Glamping in Pershore, which received the Camping, Glamping & Holiday Park of the Year award, a distinction that underscores the growing prominence of unique outdoor accommodations in the hospitality sector.

Other notable recognitions included All Things Wild in Honeybourne, which was highly commended in the Ethical, Responsible & Sustainable category, and Watersedge in Pershore, which earned a commendation in the New Tourism Business of the Year category.

Abbots Grange Manor House was named Small Serviced Accommodation of the Year, further cementing its reputation in the hospitality space.

The annual awards ceremony saw over 70 finalists competing across multiple categories, with a total of 16 winners selected by industry experts.

The event, held at the Three Counties Showground, drew more than 370 attendees, including key stakeholders from the regional tourism and business sectors.

Hosted by TV presenter and food expert Chris Bavin, the ceremony provided a platform to celebrate businesses that are driving tourism growth in Worcestershire.

Lorna Robinson, visitor economy and destination manager at Visit Worcestershire, emphasized the significance of these recognitions in a report by Evesham Observer

“The awards have been an amazing celebration of Worcestershire’s incredible tourism sector. Every single finalist and winner should feel truly proud of their achievements.”

Industry professionals can look to these awards as a benchmark for excellence in hospitality and tourism. Recognitions such as these not only enhance business credibility but also influence customer perception and market positioning.

For operators in the outdoor hospitality industry, the success of Plum Tree Glamping highlights the increasing demand for high-quality, experience-driven stays, presenting an opportunity for businesses to refine their offerings and appeal to a growing customer base.

The event also had a charitable component, raising over £3,500 for Midlands Air Ambulance through a prize draw raffle.

The funds will support the charity’s emergency medical services in Worcestershire and beyond, demonstrating how tourism businesses can play a role in community impact beyond their core operations.
